Funny, strange, confrontational and subversive, this is one of the most interesting experiences you'll have at the cinema this year.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

One more time, I am amazed by the crime films from India, despite the fact that, since many years, I was very cold, careful, afraid to watch only one of them. For me, Bollywood was exclusively colourful and singing comedies. Nothing else. Then I discovered UGLY - which is not Bollywood type, although being an Indian flick - I changed my mind. This one - FORCE - has the particularity of being a mix-up between pure action and film noir. Not thriller. Of course, you may have some examples of such schemes, in Korean movies for instance, but it remains very surprising. You may find film noir, crime dramas with action, but they are never action movies. See what I mean? In this picture, you also see dancing and musical scenes - which seems to be an Indian trademark. So, when it occurs, I proceed the same I did with Roy Rogers or Gene Autry's singing westerns from the forties, I press the fast forward button and that's it. These sequences are totally useless for me. The ending is particularly a surprise. I won't spoil it further. But it is definitely a pure Bollywood crime drama in the best manner.

A remake of Gautham Menon's successful 2003 Tamil film, Kaakha Kaakha, 'Force' is Time-Pass Entertainment. It has a fairly engaging script, along-with good action, good visuals & impressive direction working for it. 'Force' is about a dutiful cop who chases the capture of a dreaded gangster. Let me clarify: 'Force' is not meant for the faint-hearted. The excessive violence, especially in the second-hour, is sure to put off the illy-livered. In terms of Script, this recent Action-Fare, has some captivating moments & good stunts going for it. Ritesh Shah's Screenplay begins superbly, but dips considerably in the second-hour, which, honestly, doesn't quite do the trick. Also, the loud & depressing climax, is not up-to the mark. Nishikanth Kamath's Direction, is impressive. Cinematography, Editing & Art Design, are perfect. Stunts are good. Music by Harris Jayaraj, is soulful.Performance Wise: John Abraham suits the part, and does reasonably well. Genelia D'Souza is her usual self. Vidyut Jamwal is terrific as the ruthless villain. He is the scene-stealer here. Mohnish Bahl is in form. Raj Babbar supports well. Mukesh Rishi scores. Kamlesh Sawant, Ameet Gaur, Sandhya Mridul & Anaitha Nair lend support. On the whole, 'Force' is a time-pass fare.

Force is a movie for the die hard fans of John. Apart from that it doesn't give any treat for the viewers when compared to the original. Even the hit song Khwaabo Khwaabo was poorly choreographed and not up to the mark cinematography. The highlight of the movie are 2 things. 1- John Abraham and his stunning body and looks. 2- the villain. He is the mystery unearthed through this latest flick of John Abraham. The villain should have been involved in more stunt sequences which would have been a treat to watch. Jenelia does not look like a match for John Abraham. The movie is not a waste of time but definitely a waste of money.

Yashwardhan (John Abraham) is a tough police officer working for the narcotics control bureau. He keeps bumping into a social worker Maya (Genelia D'Souza) often, and eventually falls in love with her. On job front, he kills a drug lord Anna (Mukesh Rishi). Anna's brother Vishnu (Vidyut Jammwal) kills Yash's team member to avenge his brothers death, and is after the rest of the team. The movie ends with an wrestle fight between Yash and Vishnu.Frankly, I liked it better than the Telugu 'Gharshana' according to the story line. The Telugu one was a drag in the second half, but this one had better screenplay and left out lot of unnecessary senti crap. Acting wise, Tamil 'Kaakha Kaakha' wins the trophy hands down. Both John and Genelia could have performed better. Music is a plus. Overall, a gory but neat film, and a decent watch. For the entire review, please visit: http://sasikanth.blogspot.com/2011/10/movie-review-force.html
