The Worst Film Ever

The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

I actually created an account just to leave a review for this film. It started off promising but as the movie progressed it just became more and more ridiculous. I love shocking horror films so loved that element. However the film soon became filled with clichés and mannerisms associated with other horror films and franchises- so it lacked originality and was done exceptionally poorly. The ending is where the film completely fell short. I can't say it's totally clear as to what the ending is. The film relies on flashbacks to tell a story yet when the "truth" is known the ending is not so clear. Is it literal hell on earth and supernatural? A manifestation of guilt? I honestly have no idea as the execution was so poor the message just didn't translate. The acting was pretty consistently awful too which did not help.. I sometimes wondered if I'd be so nonchalant after some of the.. methods of torture used within the film (trying not to give too much away). Finally this is a massive spoiler but you discover they killed their baby. This is then briefly shown and the scene ends with the sound of a baby drowning. This was totally tactless and seemed to offer nothing to the film apart from shock value... I just wouldn't waste your time with this film. There are films within this genre (for example the French horror inside) that are just as shocking and just as disturbing but offer story, character development and either deal with issues such as children with more tact or it acts as symbolic for a greater purpose.

Sometimes the question is: How much can you take? But while other movies seem to relish in the torture aspect, this does have something to say. Might not be the "best" thing or told in the best way possible, but it's still something. And there is a very nasty scene in here, that might make you squirm. Even if you are used to the special effects, there are always things that can make you feel uncomfortable. And this movie is all about that. While I guess you can see a twist coming long before it arrives, it shouldn't take anything from your enjoyment (if you can call it that). Good performances in this very strange (in a good way) movie, that succeeds even with a small budget

After seeing the trailer for this movie, I was afraid they showed way to much of the movie. Here another movie were We follow a young couple as they leave their everyday lives behind and head out to a new beginning; starting over from scratch and while Driver , Chad who ends up falling a sleep at the wheel, Crash the car. We get flash back of happened in before they decided to movie way, it felt really strange for them for keeping going back wards now and again, it got really annoying at the times and Felt of place. Soon there see house they go there, These to couple who are at the house seem very friends (TOO Friendly, Which I thought would have creepy for stranger to say those thing then sooner then later thing that nasty turn. These couple soon turn nasty and keep the other hostage for some part of the movie, these Torture scenes were really that good or that nasty however There one scenes I found did find A bit nasty , Let just I won't use Cheese crater today for sure. Then they go over the board with over done twist , which I been done so many times now, It's getting boring now, I make the pass hour Point-less and a waste of time. The ending really ruined the movie , I kind of felt a little cheated. however I did not get board with this movie, it get entertained thought out the movie, the acting was really good from the short cast in this movie. 5 out of 10

This is a very decent psychological thriller horror with some excellent acting and there is nothing cheap or cheerful about this movie, I like movies which make you think and ask questions and this film - a little bit like Lovely Bones recently - makes you do that. The film in a way also reminds me of the recent horror Vacancy with the couple on the run and the couple conveniently being in a range of a farmhouse when they crash the car.Chad has a gambling problem - but why was he gambling? And how was the 25K paid? I assume the house where they lived was rented, not owned, and they gave the furniture away to a neighbour, so took nothing away with them in the car, or so it seemed. The girl clearly had a problem in childcare and a healthcare issue with her baby. They both had a problem and the visitation to the farmhouse was a sort of addressing of their guilt and wrongs, so how I seem the drowning of the girls head and the prompt for Chad to justify himself as a man and try and save her. There is A TOUCH of SAW 6 in this morality (if there is any morality). The deaf guy is a key character in the story but is he the only worker to be employed on such a large vineyard 30 miles from anywhere? Absurd but intriguing. The sinister couple too busy bonking to put their hand to the hands on management of the vineyard.Great ending but I still don't get the opening scene when Scarlet the girl is a child and is flash backed again at the end. Need to watch again for further curiosity.Overall, excellent thriller, not top-drawer but enjoyable in this specific film sector although why they persist in including mindless eroticism (sex scene with the open door) is quite beyond me. A theme of many of such films of dateI have some AFTERTHOUGHTS to my original posting.Of course what has happened is that the couple have wronged with the death of their child and perhaps cashed in an insurance Policy to meet the gambling debt and fund a getaway. But this is wrong through the eyes of God and the car accident is their penitence and punishment for eternity, hence the role played by Lil and Samyel, although brutal and horrific, is intended to send a very clear message - and it surely does.In life there is no second chance. there is also a slight moral connection with the Cohens A Serious Man (but only slight).Wow, this is a real thinking film, there is definitely a similarity in this movie with what happened to the little girl in Lovely Bones and the couple in the car crash. Enjoy this movie, its great!
