It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

The movie has rich characters, a good story, and is very well paced. Many times when a movie has great music it is to hide a dull script, not here, this music simply makes it a must see!Excellent character portrayal by Tobey Keith, Kelly Preston, and Lindsey Haun, who is a show stealer. Tess Harper is always just a joy to watch in almost anything she does and she doesn't disappoint here. The story follows Bo Price (Toby Keith,) a Country Singer, on his way down, who is called home when his brother, and 4 other boys from his hometown are killed in a training exercise in the Army. One of the boys is the brother of Bo's high school sweetheart, Angela (Kelly Preston) who was pregnant when he ran out on her. The funerals in the hometown bring the long lost lovers together and introduce father, Bo, to his daughter Dixie (Lindsey Haun), who is also a musician. Their stories are interesting and believable. Entertaining and love the music.

The movie was absolutely fantastic. A very moving story line & great music. I am a huge Toby fan, unfortunately we don't have the honour of seeing him in the UK.It shows how people come together in hard, sad times & family's can be reunited after many years if your willing to try. Excellent film, whether your a country fan or not.Was good to see some huge stars like Willie nelson & Burt Reynolds, Kelly Preston. I was speechless when Lindsey Haun sang, she has the voice of an angel. I waited a long time for this, but i can definitely say it was well worth the wait. I really hope as well as singing, Toby will do more movies. Over all, its a great movie, one i could watch over and over again.

I am a huge Toby Keith fan. Living in Canada, this film wasn't released locally and even when it was advertised as being played on CMT, it still didn't air in my area.I had seen trailers for the movie and some of the promotional airings on TV. I had already purchased the soundtrack, which I loved. However, I bought the movie sight unseen and absolutely loved it. Toby's scenes were so natural. It was like he wasn't acting at all. The interactions between the characters was excellent. The music fit the storyline perfectly and the movie gave me new appreciation for the soundtrack. I can't say enough good things about the movie. It rates a big "two thumbs up" in my book!

I want to say what a great movie Broken Bridges was.I did a lot of crying threw the whole thing. It was a great story with wonderful people playing there parts. every person seem to fit there part to a tee.I hope to see more movies from CMT like this.I liked the fact that it was a kind of love story without all the mushie stuff.I bougth the movie the day it came out on DVD and have watched it at least three times a day. I loved the movie so much that I cant even say I have a favorite part or a favorite person. everyone did such a great job. It is for sure a must see movie.I will be looking forward to seeing more movies with Tobt Keith cause he was so wonderful in this one. Thanks for letting me write. wandaone
