Henelotter ups the ante in the final part of his trilogy by introducing a new member to the family: the potentially monstrous fruit of hideously deformed Belial's loins. With the pair still enjoying relative anonymity and comfort in their new found home (presided over by Granny Roth), things however take a downward turn on a trip to the Georgia Clinic of Uncle Hal, which leads to an encounter with an especially nasty redneck sheriff and his similarly blinkered band of merry men.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

At the end of basket case 2 Dwain has lost his marbles a little bit and stitched Belial back on after accidentally killing Granny Ruth's daughter. so it begins with Dwain in a straight jacket getting released by granny Ruth and missing his brother he runs away. Belials girlfriend has lots of kids and Dwain approaches the police for help.Is it any good? well as other reviews have stated the special effects in this movie are top notch great gore great costume design you can tell they had fun. The plot and writing are OK it's not the best but its a B movie so I can forgive it for that. A few things annoyed me, though. one the acting has gotten even worse. Dwain is terrible and you don't really care about him as a result. At one point one of the babies is crushed to death and no one cares which adds to humour I guess what really does it is the singing for me uuuurgh why did she have to sing. But you do meet Ruths son which is cool. I would recommend this purely for fans of the first 2 and people interest in the effects.

A third and final foray into the madness that started in 1982 with Duane and Belial Bradley. But with a slumping sequel, odds are not in favor of this third installment. It should be said that "Basket Case 3" continues on in the footsteps of "Basket Case 2" and showcases the monstrous freaks from that one, just going a step further and also introduces baby Belials and some other new freaks. So if you enjoyed part 2 then you will also enjoy part 3. However, the detour that parts 2 and 3 took from the original idea of part 1 is not really my cup of tea, so I am not much fan of the sequels. I think they went overboard with the freaks in part 2 and as such then I am not much fan of how they continued on with that in part 3.The story in the third installment of the "Basket Case" series takes the freaks on a journey to the south where they are seeking out a doctor to help the family. However, when Belial's spawn of monstrous offspring is kidnapped by unlawful police officers, the family rises up to reclaim what is rightfully theirs."Basket Case 3" didn't really tickle me in the right places, not after what I had witnessed in part 2, so it wasn't an outstanding movie for me. But for fans of the second movie, then this third movie will surely be a blast. The effects were adequate enough, surely an improvement of what was seen in the first two movies. But again, the freaks in both parts 2 and 3 are just too far out there for my liking. As for the acting, well you know what you are in for if you have watched parts 1 and/or 2 already. It is adequate enough acting for the genre and the type of movie that this is. Just don't hold your breath in hopes of being in for a grand Shakespearian experience. Now that I have finally gotten around to finish the trilogy I can check them off the to-watch-list, but chances are slim to none that I will actually sit down to watch any of them, even part 1, a second time around. Why? Well, because they just didn't really impress me that much.

How can a movie go from sublime to shocking in one movie. Never before have I seen such a bad sequel since police academy. If you are looking for a movie review then this is not it. It is worth watching for curiosity or a laugh. If you haven't seen basket case 1 or 2 then don't bother with this one. However if you are looking for comedy acting or just like bad horror then this is definitely for you.I'm afraid there is not much more I can tell you and would have to let you decide for yourself. Its hard to come up with the minimum ten lines of text. I give this a generous five.

Is this film scary? No. Is this film funny? Yes. Is this film stupid? Yes. Is this film a total waste of viewer's time? Yes. Duane and Belial still reside with their adoptive mother and rathe less fortunate humans who have some quite hideous facial deformities, one could confuse this one with a similar movie of it's time, Freaked. This third installment, you actually hope there's a fourth, like in apology for how horribly bad this one is. But there's a fear, that if a fourth one was made, there's a slight possibility it could be worse than this one, and that's a really frightening thought. Belial's girl, another freaks, is very much pregnant, and we do have a funny "Must seen to be believed" birth scene, when she pops a few baby Belial's, that are snatched by authorities. So, we know Belial is not one happy chappy, but neither will an audience be by this utter dreck. We have a kinky daughter of a sheriff, who clean cut looking Duane, gets it on with as she plays dominator, in one of her daddy's police cells. After viewing this one, one of my friends was grinning to himself, in a sort of embarrassment, at the birth scene, another one at one point, and said and I quote "But this is terrible". A true understatement if I heard one. I myself was left in total stupefaction. Even a couple of newborn Belials, and the freak mother buy it, so we have a nasty revenge in store, plus the old rock hit, 'Personality', played in a slower jazzed style, over the end credits, by freak accompaniment and now you've heard my opinion of this. This embarrassment of a movie, just plays as a comedy, it's hard to believe it's in the same franchise as the original, which was one of the scariest and effective horrors of 84, I was witness to. What the hell happened. Get your act together Duane.0.5
