Absolutely the worst movie.

Fanciful, disturbing, and wildly original, it announces the arrival of a fresh, bold voice in American cinema.

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

An old-fashioned movie made with new-fashioned finesse.

Couldn't stop watching this series about John Adams. Great costumes, superb acting and a well researched script.

I usually don't easily rate with 10 stars, but this series is absolutely worth it. I didn't know too too much about the beginnings of the history of the US, but this series taught me a lot. Thanks to a great cast who brought these honorable people back to live and very moving scenes it will stay in my mind and heart.I agree that this should be showed to school children and especially modern day politicians. What especially positively impressed me was the nearly complete lack of violence compared to oh so many other (american!) productions. We all know how terrible things can be, so there is no need to show it over and over again and satisfy merely voyeuristic wishes.Voices, quotes, Face expressions, subtle gestures should be enough for any human being to understand the message of this movie.VERY WELL DONE!

John Adams is a television miniseries chronicling most of President John Adams's political life and his role in the founding of the United States. Paul Giamatti portrays the title role.It also has a stellar cast that includes Laura Linney,Stephen Dillane,David Morse,Tom Wilkinson,Danny Huston,Rufus Sewell,Justin Theroux and Guy Henry. The miniseries was directed by Tom Hooper. Kirk Ellis wrote the screenplay based on the book John Adams by David McCullough. The biopic of John Adams and the story of the first fifty years of the United States was broadcast in seven parts by HBO.The miniseries was simply one of the best about former President of the United States,John Adams as Paul Giamatti brings him to life.As Giamatti interprets him, Adams seems both intelligent and ordinary enough to pass as all the things he truly was: a shrewd lawyer, a nettlesome Continental Congress debater, a huffy ambassador to France, and, eventually, the second President of the United States. You'll feel goose bumps of pride when you hear bits of the Declaration of Independence being read aloud. Also commendable is the portrayal by Laura Linney of Adams' wife, Abigail.Aside from the performances, the miniseries is one brilliant and thought- provoking film about the history of the United States. Its twenty-three Emmy Award nominations and the thirteen that it won will definitely attest to that.

If you read my separate reviews of the 7 parts of the series then I suggest you read them first. The series is about John Adams played in a wonderful performance by Paul Giamatti who is fighting for freedom for the colonies. It also takes a look at him as president and covers his problems at home along with his wife Abigail played by Laura Linney. If you have not seen this mini-series I say check it out. One thing was going on in my mind while watching this: why does Samuel Adams gets a beer named after him when he did not do any thing where as John Adams did a lot of things. The performances are really well done but some people are wondering why this was not a movie. Well the answer is it didn't need to be a movie because it has too much of a story to tell, and I think that the way it was done here was great. Definitely check it out. It's well paced and well told. Not Rated.8hrs 18min/498min(alltogether).****/****
