No emotion. No fear. No pain. They were the perfect soldiers to protect civilization until the drone police became the perfect enemy. With little hope left for mankind, Tallis, an electronically enhanced soldier, rescues a survivor from a failed resistance mission. There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

This is probably one of the best movies I've ever seen,if you like post apocalypse movies then you will love this movie, it reminds me of fallout 3 a lot too, so if you like fallout you'd like this. It does get a little boring when they keep going back and forth from Thebes(were the drones are motsly highly located) but it is cool to see the AI gun kill everything in range. There should definitely be a sequel, but I don't think they'll make one. But overall, 10/10

"They were the perfect soldiers to protect civilization - until the drone police became the perfect enemy. With little hope left for mankind, 'Tallis' (Don "The Dragon" Wilson), an electronically enhanced soldier, rescues a rebel beauty (Katee Sackhoff) from a failed resistance mission. A force to be reckoned with, she will learn to fight and think like a machine for the final battle to save the human race," according to the DVD sleeve synopsis.Jesse V. Johnson's "The Last Sentinel" has some of the promised blood, guts, and gunfire - but, it doesn't live up to laughable promotional comparisons to "Saving Private Ryan" and "Black Hawk Down", which definitely lacked some bio-mechanical clones. This film has artificial intelligence in abundance. The highlight would be seeing Ms. Sackhoff in wet panties, showing her tattooed back and half a boob, if the scene were more generous.** The Last Sentinel (5/12/07) Jesse V. Johnson ~ Don Wilson, Katee Sackhoff, Bokeem Woodbine, Keith David

Good Sci-Fi films are few and far apart. You need loads of money (like Starship Troopers) or inspired, genius film crews (like Cube). This has none of that. The production values are rock bottom, I think the actors probably had to bring their own sandwiches to set.But like most cheap films it is not the lack of money that lets it down. All the sets are over lit and immaculately clean so you can't shake that 'I'm in a studio' feel and the combat scenes (like all cheap movies) consist of a group of extras standing bolt up-right unleashing a hail of bullets to off-screen left, the camera then switches to the good guys crouching behind a barrel firing off-screen right. The good guys blatantly wear bicycle helmets, but no one cared enough to cruise the charity shops long enough to get a vaguely matching set. This film was hampered by bad writing and lack of money, but it was a lack of love and commitment that killed it.Gets a star for a scene where you see Starbuck topless (from behind, in the dark)

1. Some of the effects (dustclouds, some of the early bullet wounds - SOME) are quite nice. 2. The overall experience with the main character build in AI. 3. Conan o Brian has a small part around 1:17-18, decent work but the talk show host feeling ruined the little feeling the moment had.The concept was OK, but the realisation terrible, as a sci-fi fan (not hardcore) i found some parts a little entertaining as mentioned but overall this movie (IF ever viewed) is spent best with a side activity (surfing or whatnot).***A WARNING*** This specially goes out to those with tactical experience, you will get annoyed or laugh your way through some parts (even though it isn't meant as a parody).EDIT: This movie has been astroturfed (to boost ratings), I just hope my review does not get deleted for pointing that out. Be warned this is not a 4/10 movie, it could have been if a lot of things were different (within the same budget), but it's not.
