Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

This is an odd found footage tape with a twist, that really didn't matter. In our found footage tape, Russian soldiers speak English with Russian accents. Germans tend to speak German for reasons unknown. A group of WWII Russian soldiers quietly approach a village while a camera is whirling the whole time. They discover a third generation or so, Dr. Frankenstein who is connecting humans to various instruments and mechanical devices except chainsaws which has been done (see DVD cover). They make very tough hand to hand soldiers, if not absurdly darkly comical, giving the viewer the feeling, "What am I watching?' and "Why am I still watching this?"Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity

This movie was unreal and fantastic. It takes the mythology behind Hitler and his endeavor and twists it into a war/monster movie. It is dark sometimes, comedic at times, and scary when you see all these Frankenstein monsters. It it absolutely horrific how unreal the effects looked. Traditional consume designers and monster mask makers were used to create a fantastic experience. This is a fine, and the movie functions as a horror mixed with sci-fi. It is well acted and believable. You believe there is a war and these soldiers are going through a horrific experience where nightmares are real and you can die at any point.I can give this a 9 or 10 out of 10. I loved it and it is very entertaining, well paced and terrific acting make it a great experience and a good movie. It was directed well and the camera use added a grittiness to the movie as well as a high level or belief in what we are seeing is real.

This is another 'recovered footage film'. It is filmed in the first perspective via a camera and the horrors witnessed by the men in action is as the audience sees it. So rather than just watching another movie, it is almost as if you are there. The only thing missing is 3D, although in this case, that might have been going over the top and been a bad thing indeed. This movie is made in the homage of 'Dr. Frankenstein' and takes place during the final events of World War II; Russia is converging on Germany and a troop is performing a reconnaissance run. What they find in the countryside is one of many horrifying secrets the Nazis had been working on in hopes of taking over the world. The secret is a type of man-made machine that combines humans and weapons to create a living weapon. Sadly, the troop must contend with what they've found, but they, like most horror movies will attest, get picked off one by one.Originally posted to Orion Age (http://www.orionphysics.com/?p=3480).

We put it on expecting it to be cheesy, but eh, give it a try. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised, in fact, delighted! We are even going to watch it again. There are so many subtle details and things in the background or aren't directly addressed. The characters are believable, and the costuming is FANTASTIC! Sure somethings are a bit over the top but I don't think it took away from the movie but actually part of the charm. It's all shot 'Blair Witch' style, POV of a camera carried by the character(s). While I wouldn't call it terrifying, it was scary and got that adrenaline pumping, and usually we're stoic movie watchers but even we had to do the tentative 'oooooo' and those little spazs you do when a character needs to do something - which, a huge credit to this movie, is not full of idiot characters you yell at the screen for being an idiot. What an enjoyable ride.
