Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

It is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties. It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

Drawn together may get a lot of hate. But personally, I feel that MOST (key word is most, not all) of the hate is undeserved. Let me explain why I think this movie is better than most give it credit for.Firstly, the humor in this movie is very good: it contains my in-jokes and references for fans of the show, and contains enough sexual content to satisfy even the most depraved of perverts. However, if you're not a fan of sexual humour / dirty jokes, you might not think the humour in this film to be the best. Even still, the jokes in this movie are unique, off the wall, and well thought out: many of them had me in tears.Secondly, the characters are all lovable and creatively designed. I feel that they near- perfectly represent the stereotypes of animation: from spanky, who represents internet animation, to Clara, a twisted version of a damsel in distress, and wooldorf, an adult version of Spongebob; I think this movie hits the nail on the head from a parody standpoint. In addition, these characters also play off each other nicely, leading to some interesting conflicts and situations.Thirdly, the use of nudity in this film adds to the atmosphere. Drawn together was not a series meant for kids, and when this movie got the freedom to put in nudity: it really complemented the tone nicely. While the nudity is not overused, I think it's also a bit underused: if I was the writer for this movie, i would definitely make sure to add in more nudity and sexual content. Nonetheless, it's a great addition to the film, and, as said before, adds very nicely to the atmosphere. So, now that we've discussed the good things, let's move on to the bad things. The animation is subpar: as with most flash animated shows, the animation can look stilted and cheap at times. While it is not evident during most of the film, there are definitely some moments where the characters could use more emotion or fluidity. This, however, is a minor complaint, and it did not in any way stop me from enjoying this film. Some of the characters can be predictable: while this doesn't make the movie unwatchable, it is a pet-peeve of mine to see one-dimensional characters. For example, all the jokes about captain hero revolve around him being useless, and he has barely any lines to give him depth or make up for that. In addition, I feel that out of all the main cast, spanky lacks the most when it comes to having a story arc: his character isn't very fleshed out, and he's thrown to the wayside and used only for one off gags. The sex scene is kinda lame: I was looking forward to this the whole time I was watching through the movie, only to have a 1 minute clip. I feel it shouldn't have been advertised on the back of the box to the point that it was: which would have been acceptable if it was… let's say… around 5 minutes in length. In short, it was a letdown. Some scenes lack tension or are just flat out filler: the first 15 minutes of this film lack any sort of buildup and don't give the audience any useful information. It's just the writers padding out the run time with jokes and redundant dialogue. In addition, there are many scenes which could've been trimmed down to allow more room for the main plot to unfold. All in all, I'd say this movie is worth watching. Just don't have very high expectations for it, because even for fans of the show, it won't be the best thing in the world.Final score: 6.2/10

the spoilers refer to a single character that appears in the movie and are fully explained within 10 min. i usually don't write review and i wouldn't have in this case either if anybody else would have already said it, but nobody did. I liked the show, it was racist and obscene to be sure, but in a way that was critical of over politically correctness and played with the concept of cartoons. also, many of their jokes were touched with a bit of insane gold that came from a strong connection and parody of the source material. however, the movie is nothing like it. the first thing that is notices is the obvious downgrade in animation: the characters are much less fluid and look more like a internet video from 2007. this makes the entire experience alienation to old viewers and unattractive to new ones. next, the jokes are not nearly as funny, feeling mean and uninspired. on top of that, the obscenity is done in a way that feels like they are trying to prove they are obscene more than be obscene to defy expectations like in the original. but all of this was already said by others. my main problem was the obvious, offensive, politically biased presentation of Israel. this is done as a repeat joke through the use of a plot device of a character by the same name. every reference to the character is a part of an attempt to de-legitimatize Israel. Israel is a killer robot who attacks peoples homes under the command of corporations and forces American Jews to help it. on top of that, the characters keep spouting out lines like "Israel took me from the only home i ever knew." the repetitive and extreme nature of the joke makes it unbearable to me as an Israeli (if you have not guessed) and would to anyone who believes Israel is not entirely in the wrong in its current situation. I would not recommend this movie though since even without the Israel joke, it hardly rates a 4 and is not nearly as good as the old show.

Drawn Together was full-throttle crudity and crassness, and this concluding movie makes for a satisfying ending. Although very much made on the cheap, with many segments of filler, the movie stays on par with the series, not adding much more or taking much away. I laughed. In fact, I laughed quite a bit. It makes a nice little argument that "gross for gross' sake" is alright, and takes its time to critique South Park, the show that took its time slot. For the makers of Drawn Together, it seems absurd that a show can only be crude if its making some sort of commentary, crudeness by itself can be just as funny and not so pretentious as South Park. Many of those laughs were "bad laughs", the kind where you feel ashamed afterward. I find those good for my health now and then. Technically, the movie lacks some of the hand-drawn aesthetic of the show, but the bar wasn't too high to begin with. This was never a serious show, great for when you just wanted to switch your brain off for a half-hour, and the movie provided the same dumb humor, and after three seasons I came to expect occasional lapses in the writing quality. Worth a look for a fan of the show.

Wow, it has been a long time since I heard of this series and apparently for good reason. This film is the reason why most shows deserve to get canceled and left to die. I have watched the entire original series and was somewhat amused by it. The show was witty without a message and some points funny with over the top gross out humor. But this film took everything from the show that was somewhat good and screwed it up. I can't believe whoever made this movie was considering that the sales of this film could revive the show. The film contains even more over the top jokes and swearing simply because it is a direct to DVD film and doesn't have to worry about network censorship. This would be fine but all of the jokes in here are either unfunny or just plain disgusting. The show definitely had these kinds of jokes but they were tame considered to the things in here. I will admit that I am not a huge fan of the show and really hated how they ended it. But in my eyes the show had a good run and should have simply gone away in peace. Much better shows have been canceled at a short run and deserve a second chance, but not this show. Now this film is simply moronic in its approach and execution. The film constantly jumps around from scene to scene in a relentless manner and the story keeps getting more and more drawn out (no pun intended) along the way. Now the scene jumping would be fine if it had any sort of flow or order. But in this film they are so random that it becomes very hard to follow what is going on in the film. It does leave some interest as the viewer tries to figure out what is going on. But overall it gets old very fast. The story line in this film is pretty simple but way too convoluted for no reason. I simply didn't enjoy the movie as much as the show and felt that this was truly a half-hearted attempt to make a quick buck. I was really hoping for something more funny and entertaining of a send off in here. But it never came along and when I saw that ending I was really ticked. This film is not for everyone, even if you are a fan of the show. I definitely don't recommend it to people that are unfamiliar with the show as it would simply confuse them. The film gives no explanation at who the main characters are or why we should even care for them. These elements are from the show and only someone familiar with the show would be able to stomach the lame humor and fart jokes sprinkled through this movie. My final review score is a 2 out of 10. The film simple didn't entertain me on any level and only reinforced all the things I hated about the show. Now if you enjoy lame jokes and over the top fart jokes then this may be a film you would want to RENT. But never buy it since it would only encourage the producers of this film to make another movie or revive the series. Everyone else should just avoid this film entirely.
