Eye 2, what can i say about this? My thoughts about this movie. Is it better then Eye 1, not really. Is it different? Yeah! it sure is. Both movies tell a different story but it all has to do with the same subject...and that is the Eye.I actually can't really compare the two movies. They are both from a different quality of storytelling. But i really liked this movie! U cant judge this movie to be the same like ...a western movie like the Terminator 1... and in the sequel they use the same characters. The Pang Brothers just used a different story but with the same subject. That's all.

The Eye was one the best horror movies to come in last 10 years or so, it one of favourite of horror movies of all time., it was really creepy and wheel made. The Eye 2 is stand alone movies, it not connected to the first movie. After a failed suicide attempt, a pregnant woman gains the ability to see ghosts. This movie is not as good or as creepy as The Eye however this movie hold up by it self, there were some really good scenes this movie The scenes with baby scan, freaked me out little and I really liked the scenes at the bust stop as it made Jump twice in 60 seconds. The acting in this movie was good but not great. This movie dose have moments so I going give 5 out of 10

After reading many reviews of this film i didn't go in to this film with high hopes, many reviews said the film was like a soap opera in parts and relied to heavily on jump scares. Although the film has many jump scares i found the acting was top notch and the film was not only scary, in parts it was disturbing too.The story starts with Cheng a pregnant woman who is struggling to survive because the father of her baby wants nothing to do with her, Cheng tries to commit suicide but fails and in replacement she gains the ability to see ghosts. While the story has very little to do with the first i still found it entertaining trying to figure out why the ghosts were drawn to pregnant woman. Cheng is also haunted by the same woman who seems to stalk her everywhere she goes but unfortunately this part of the story was predictable and easy to work out, so when the twist is revealed there is no big shock still the story may not be the most original but its still interesting. Now this is a horror film so you will be expecting lots of scares right? well its kind of a mixed bag here, there are plenty of scares throughout and most succeed but a few fail. For instance the bus stop scene i'm not going to ruin anything but this was one of the most effective and disturbing scenes iv seen in a while, On the other hand the taxi scene was just strange and borderline laughable. The film is creepy throughout as ghosts are shown in most scenes but they look like just normal people so this might put some people off the film. I wouldn't let it though because when its revealed why they are drawn to pregnant woman the placement of the ghosts in each scene makes sense and is probably the scariest part of the film. But these creepy scenes don't forgive the fact the rest of the the scares are jump scares, i didn't mind this as they were done better than most Hollywood horror films but the music that accompanied the jumps sounded like something off a video game. Still the film had me jumping out of me seat more times than the average horror film. I would recommend this film to anyone who wants to see horror that focuses equally on story as well as scares. The acting is top notch and there aren't many characters so the few there are, are developed well. The film has many interesting and original ideas but it does steal some from other horror films, still the film is jumpy, scary and disturbing everything a horror movie should be.

I picked up this release together with the first part about three weeks ago, but I watched the Gin gwai 2 just yesterday and I was well frightened and entertained. The good things about this movie are the original story (average quality of the story was the only flaw in the first part), qualities of cinematography and sound-tech guys and overall atmosphere and the prime sense of Asian horror, delivered by the filmmakers of this title. But this film suffers from some fatal flaws in story line and the following depiction of this probably undeveloped or lazy developed story. I spotted about four or three of such flaws – but, if you are able to ignore these mistakes or acts of laziness, you can extract the rest of the beauty, lying in the storyline, sound and work of Pang brothers. I really enjoyed the way in which the horror was delivered in unpredictable (sometimes predictable, though) ways (horror can be experienced in daylight). I really enjoyed the work of actors and the rest of the crew. But, the best enjoyment for me was the dripping of Asian Horror of this title. I experienced some WANTED and expected loads of pure creeps and fears. In this plane this movie just VERY seriously kicks my J-Horror-addicted butt! But I wish that they hadn’t included some American way of lightly complicated story telling near the end – this just tends to ruin the way of intellectual Asian Horror in general. But I put this in the following way - another passable flaw of this movie. So, if you can get past these flaws and concentrate on the story (which managed to be intellectual too) and cinematography in general (nice work), you can experience lots of horror and drama from this good-done title.
