Arthur & Merlin (2015)

Absolutely the worst movie.

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Very good origins story of the modern Arthur & Merlin tales. Considering the budget a job well done and entertaining throughout. Good to see a film relying on the story and characters rather than emdless special effects.

This low-budget, independent fantasy epic is without a doubt one of the greatest films ever made. The story has been adapted from Celtic legend, and retains all the excitement and intrigue in the original lore. It follows hero Arthfael (Baker) and wizard Myrrdin (Butler) on their quest to bring down the evil Aberthol (Cooke). Safe to say, their journey is not entirely plain sailing, but Baker conquers all problems with the gravitas of the legendary hero he is playing. For a low-budget flick, some of the cinematic work is marvellous, although they were certainly helped by some gorgeous filming locations. Alongside the aforementioned Baker, the acting highlight came from Barbara Dabson as Young Ward. She had a small amount of film time, but I can certainly see a great future for the young actress. Overall, a brilliant film of which all involved should be proud.

I have seen a lot of low budget movies but this is far the best one very good story line and the acting was very good compared to some big budget movies even the camera work was not bad at all i write this review under my company's name so the stupid idiot that says that only the people that acted in the movies gave it a 10 out of 10 can now truly feel stupid I am sure the movie did not have a big budget but they did a good job I can honest say after watching this movie i felt like I did not wast my time like I feel after watching other low budget movies and some big budget movies to the cast and crew of this movie Great Job

This movie kicks Hollywood b-u-t-t. I can see from some fake reviews that it hurts them badly - a movie with tiny little budget far more enjoyable than marvel-like "blockbusters".I am looking forward to see the Hollyrottenwood crumble and be replaced with more humble movies like this one. In Arthur&Merlin you simply enjoy the flow of time and immerse yourself inside the adventure. Special effects are used on rare occasions, but still able to make you feel the story is real. Kind of Game Of Thrones style where acting, story and sets alone do the job, not dumb CGI or hundreds of enemies thrown at heroes every other second.And please don't get me wrong. This is still economic movie, but very good and very enjoyable for every fan of elemental wizardry :)Best wishes from Poland! Thank You.
