If the ambition is to provide two hours of instantly forgettable, popcorn-munching escapism, it succeeds.

The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

Now, I know that a lot of people thought this movie wasn't that great, or even thought it was terrible, and that's their opinion. But I really love this movie. In fact, I just bought it on Bluray, to add to my collection. In this movie, Nick and Shawn are the biggest ladies man at their high school. And instead of going to football camp like they usually do, they decide to join the cheerleading squad and go their camp instead. All in the hopes of getting laid. After chasing so much tail at the camp, they decide to dessert their team and go finish the Summer at football camp. Unfortunly, they didn't realize that they would fall for people at the camp. Nick fell for his cheerleading coach, who is married, and owns the camp. And Shawn fell for the captain of their cheerleading squad. They eventually come back and try and help them win the big tournament, that they have at the end of Summer. They didn't win, but they all ended up with happy endings. My favorite part of the movie is probably when they're at the camp, and everyone is watching Bring It On. It's so funny that they reference another cheerleading movie, within this cheerleading movie.Overall, I give this movie an 8 out of 10.

Honestly, this movie's promos and advertisements don't inspire very high expectations but I was pleasantly surprised about how much I honestly enjoyed this movie. I think the difference between this teen comedy and other more run of the mill teen comedies is the actual love and sincerity behind this one.The cast also brings the script to life with excellent chemistry, especially between the two mains and the main girl. If not for the good chemistry a lot of the comedy would have been lost in teen movie clichés. They all have great comedic timing and it really makes this movie. This is a serious 'don't knock it til you try it' movie.

I was expecting this movie to be entertaining and funny like some reviews had said but it really wasn't. Fired up is a comedy that has far too many clichés, far too many un-funny moments, far too many predictable moments, an incredibly recycled plot(even from Bring it on)and nothing to cheer for.Fired up is the story of two best friend teens who decide to go to Cheerleading camp instead of Football camp. Why? Well isn't it obvious. To meet girls. That is really unrealistic because in the movie they're described as popular cool kids not nerds, and they have no problems with females. Also one of them was the captain of his football team while the other was a starter (which is important). Really, how is meeting more dumb girls more important than winning something special by playing football. Like in other teen films. Of course the love interest will have a boyfriend that is a fool and he will find some way to show the girls who they really are.The dialogue is straight garbage and predictable The movie has a few laughs and giggles here and there but it's still a mess. Though I rarely laughed. Also the characters are very typical, the lead is a calm normal guy while the best friend is a girl-hunting clown who tries to crack jokes every second. And the two guys looked much older than high school students. The females were all clumbsy except the main girl and the little sister was beyond awful. She looked way young and she was always upset and randomly cursingBut Fired up is like a lot of teen comedies. I swear the plot to this was used a little in Bring it on, another cheerleading film. Yea, this movie felt like 'Bring It On' just in a guy's perspective...too much cheerleading crap. Also if this were R rated IMO it would have been much better. Trust me on that homes!

I've had a lot of fun watching this movie. I must admit I wasn't expecting Oscar-like material and character build-up. This sort of movies is made for the fun of watching. And it sure is. The story line is pretty straight forward and predictable, but the way it is presented is what it is all about. That has been done nicely. There's enough to laugh, nice jokes and situations, it's share of one-liners and lots of eye-candy (everything very decent). The actors, though a bit old for their role, put it down great and it looks like they had a lot of fun making this movie. If your in for a fun uncomplicated movie that's got some nice girls to look at this is the one.
