Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Yes, this is a terrible example of the craft but I don't always judge movies on the same curve. Yes, i rented it by accident and later saw "Battle Los Angeles". Neither here nor there. I will remember this one always. Face it, "Battle Los Angeles" was no landmark either. But this one actually made me laugh out loud. From the dramatic reveal of the questionably impressive heroine, to the soldiers holding hands as they ran from an alien attack, this movie was a hoot. I've seen a lot of bad movies but seldom gotten any real belly laughs at their expense. Sure, it's a total waste of time, but I could say that about probably eighty percent of the movies I watch and on the scale of stinkers, this one ranks near the top. My uncomfortable snickers of embarrassment for the cast and "writer" still count as laughs. One of my criterion for rating movies is if they show me something I've never seen before, this one showed me several, mostly bad, but all laughable.

Battle of Los Angeles, were do i begin. Well i will start with what i felt after i watched it. I didn't speak to anybody for 5 hours i just sat in my room wondering is it possible for a film to be made this bad? I can not believe how terrible a film can be! did the 'makers' of this film do this as a competition on how bad can we make something? The 'plot' on this website says years ago a flying object was seen is Los Angeles now 70 years later it has returned. Yep that is it there is absolutely no plot at all, its just fascinatingly bad i thought that getting shot or stabbed or getting pulled limb from limb would be the worst thing ever but this beats all of them! I have seen some plot less garbage in my time but this does not only have a terrible plot but:terrible acting,terrible 'special' effects terrible physics (meaning a women can jump of a building and stab a metal spaceship and blow it up) AND they use toy guns for guns!!! Nerf dart guns to be precise. The makers may argue 'we cant have the best special effects for a low budget film' well here is a solution don't make a 'sci-fy thriller' if you have a low budget. This film beats every other bad film by a marathon it is not the worst film ever it is the worst piece of media ever, to be rivaled by none. normally with bad films i turn them off after 30 minutes but i had to watch this to the end because of just how bad it was. This film is kind of like the holocaust it is saying this is bad and it must never happen again.SHOCKING WOULD RATHER DRINK CYANIDE THEN WATCH IT AGAIN

Mockbuster means it is a cheesy takeoff of a popular movie and that is what you get in this straight to video and SF Channel takeoff of Battle: Los Angeles. If you were expecting the also cheesy bad latter film which actually had a decent budget nearly all of the other reviewers here express your disappointment. The Asylum group specializes in these knockoffs and this is actually one of their best efforts (damning with very faint praise.) This video combines Skyline and Battle: Los Angeles with Independence Day and tosses in a few throwaway references to ET and Kill Bill among other movies. I would recommend this for bad movie night except it has too many slow stretches. Bad acting and very cheap special effects and screwed up technical details characterize these type of films. This video actually has a plot but it doesn't make much sense so don't do the comparison to bad porn with no naked bodies. Young viewers who like cheap SF and get the other movie references might sit through this movie.

Battle of Los Angeles is a great movie for those who love to watch good action films. This movie will have you at the edge of your seat with all of the suspense and action. It will make people wonder of what can happen in the future or if what happened in the movie can ever be possible. This movie shows how strong the Marines are. When I watched it, it made me think more about how they sacrifice their lives for the citizens and it made me respect the marines a lot more now. Even though this movie is about robot aliens trying to take over the whole Earth, the action and acting makes everything look realistic. This movie has tons of suspense scenes; especially in the ending. This movie is a must watch and I rate it 5 stars.
