The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

Ever since Jaws evolved the summer blockbuster, each years sees one film that dies a death at the box office, and becomes notorious for doing just thatThis is the 2005 entry.....The Navy develop a fighter jet piloted by an artificial intelligence computer. The jet is placed on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific to learn combat manoeuvres from the human pilots aboard. But when the computer develops a mind of its own, and a Wentworth Miller voice,it's the humans who are charged with stopping it before it incites a war..It's pretty clear to see why this film didn't do as well as expected, it doesn't have a coherent plot, the characterisation is poorly executed, and the special effects, especially for such a big budget film, and in 2005, are pretty ropey. You may have thought that they were good back then, but they sure don't hold up now.And the fundamental part of the film, the set pieces, are really lethargic, bearing in mind that this is from the director of The Fast And The Furious. Then we have Josh Lucas. Now the man is a decent actor, but there was a time when the studios must have had him billed as the next big thing, because he had a slew of big budget summer movies released, and they all bombed big time, or were critically mauled. But, unlike other big summer failures like The Lone Ranger, Battlefield Earth, and last years Fantastic Four, it's actually pretty good fun, for some of the right, but more so the wrong reasons.EDI has to be one of the snobbish, camp AI villains I've ever seen on screen, hence, the urgency isn't there when it gets a little bit agitated with Josh Lucas, whom is basically stalking it throughout the film.Jamie Foxx finds love with a person who cannot understand a single word he is saying, and Jessica Biel must have been contractually obligated to wear a bikini and be leered upon by Lucas at every available opportunity. But for a really dumb down film, something to life you after you've seen something that makes you feel bad about life, this would probably life your spirits, because it's loud, you can get on with other stuff and not miss out on the narrative, and Biel was contractually obliged to wear that bikini, so she won't mind being a visual enjoyment. At least she's living proof that a human is better than the special effects that accompany the film....

As a fan of Jessica Biel and action movies I knew from the minute I saw the trailer for Stealth I had to go see it.Yes I know it got some mix feelings about it but this is just one of those films I look past the junk and see the treasure. I love it since I saw it in theaters back in 2005 which still remains one of my favorite movies I saw in theatersStealth main plot centers around three top fighter pilots as they join a project to develop an automated robotic stealth aircraft. The main protagonists are Lt.Ben Gannon played by Josh Lucas, Lt.Kara Wade played by Jessica Biel, Lt.Henry Purcell Played by Jamie Foxx. Under the command of Captain George Cummings played by Sam Shepard. Rob Cohen served as the Director of the film and watching the film his style does make the film interesting like "The Fast and The Furious" and "xXx". What impress me about this film is that the special effects are really cool plus the designs the film has for the jets are what you call a beast as these Planes are really predators. Also the action scenes and battles will have you on the edge of your seat along with feeling tense as you never know what will come next. That's why I enjoy this film. Also the writing in the film is very good along with clever lines along with smart quotes. Yes I know this film wasn't meant to be a movie of the year pick but it is just not one meant for thinking so why not accept it for what it is. Stealth is more than what others give it credit for it. My advice is to just sit back relax and be blown away by this movie it has some of the best effects of any movie and the action scenes will make you feel tense throughoutStealth deserves more love so just try and give it a watch you could be surprised I give Stealth an 10 out of 10

Stealth seemed to have had it all upon its release. From the director of The Fast and the furious, a trio of rising stars, one of whom fresh from Oscar success and a mix of Top Gun with futuristic set aerial action.Shame the film is dumb by the numbers full of stereotypes and given the list of countries and people it is set to bomb, they certainly did not care about its international box office prospects. The film takes time to get going as it tries to emulate Michael Bay with its look, music and bombast as well as some ropey CGI, then once it gets going its all predictable and by the numbers. The screenplay unleashes little to surprise you. This film died at the box office and was not even give a full military burial with honours.

While the photography, special effects and acting are all excellent, this film just doesn't give us the resolution we were looking for. The bar scenes, the port visits, and even some of the shots of the main actors at play are there to give us a human identity as opposed to the EDI persona, I guess. But there are unneeded scenes, especially the one of Jessica Biel in a bikini, not that I found Ms. Biel unpleasant to look at, but the scene wasn't needed. The premise of the film has been done before (Frankenstein, Terminator, etc.), and while this film offers some splendid photography and great special effects of the planes and EDI, overall it lacks the authenticity Cohen is capable of. See it once as a rental, and don't forget to return it on time. You need not add this to your collection.
