Captivating movie !
There are better movies of two hours length. I loved the actress'performance.
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one
Worth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
Louis C.K. used to be funny. Now he's not. He has become politically correct. His shtick is to make you uncomfortable, straddle two sides of an issue just barely, and then try to show some glimmer of wisdom or counter-point (think "see how smart I really am?), but it's not working in this set. A lot of the jokes are flat.He is literally just preaching to the crowd what they want to hear. I suppose that is what comedy has come to. Another lost industry and talent. How disappointing this was to watch. And then Obama was thanked in the Credits? Why? What has this have to do with anything?I want comedy, not commentary.
I had high hopes for this title, since I can usually appreciate Louis' material. This however was one of the worst shows I've ever seen. It was just plain awful, there's no other way to put it. Before watching, I looked on IMDb and saw a rating of 7,5/10, so I expected this to be somewhat good. How this got a 7,5/10 is beyond me, it's just painfully unfunny. The whole performance was off, it looked like he didn't even want to be on stage. Definitely wouldn't recommend this to anyone, not a single laugh came from this title. Very disappointed.
Let me just say that I am actually a big fan of . While I don't think we agree on everything, I think he's hilarious and I love hisstand up (usually).Unfortunately, this comedy special completely fell flat. he didn't seem to be trying AT ALL, drinking wine on stage, telling a joke once every two minutes instead of a steady stream of punchy comedy like usual. I think he definitely has begun to phone it in now that he knows he's got a solid fan base, and I don't like it. To blame "internet trolls" on his low ratings is a childish move, and does not take accountability for his poor effort.
he really isn't funny. I would have guessed he didn't have anything prepared, walked on stage thinking "I got this"...and all we got was a heaping pile of crap. Unimaginative, not funny, flat out lazy. he's not even pleasant to look at. Game over dude.
