This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.
The first must-see film of the year.
The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
The Devil's Bride is the long awaited film version of the classic folk tale Baltaragio Malunas, by Kazys Boruta. Lithuania's most popular film and first movie musical, its catchy melodies combine traditional folk motifs with a rock-and- roll rhythm that dazzles and enchants. Spirited and emotional, The Devil's Bride tells the supernatural story of an impish devil who used to be an angel but got tired of singing Hosannah and so was condemned to live on earth. From his home in a windmill, he pursues love and happiness in a hilarious and sometimes tragic turmoil that affects the whole countryside.
