Dark Tales (1996)

After fifteen unceasing efforts, DAN still fails in the examination. He is nagged at by his friends. One day his friend CHIU CHIN SUEN bets with CHIU. They bet on DAN's guts. DAN is angry and promises to spend a night in Ten Lords Temple. CHIU impersonates a ghost to frighten DAN. DAN is shocked and dies. In the hell, he comes across his parents and LUK, who is the judge in the hell. LUK states that it is not the end of his life and thus drives him back to the earthly world. DAN's wife Kill is in great anger as DAN was killed by CHIU. She wants to avenge DAN's death and luckily DAN returns just in time to stop the tragedy. DAN repairs LUK's statue. LUK thanks DAN and decides to help DAN in the examination.

Episode 2 LUK changes DAN, giving him talent. With LUK's assistance, DAN passes the examination and wins fame. His friends are jealous of him. DAN wants to have a concubine but Kill refuses. Kill claims that if DAN ignores her, she will kill herself. DAN begs LUK to make Kill more beautiful but LUK refuses him request. LUK has mercy on a poor girl whose will be sold to a brothel after her father's death. LUK changes her record in the Sacred Record Scroll. Knowing what LUK has done, DAN threatens LUK to help him. LUK brings DAN to the hell. There DAN chooses MONG. MONG died of a heart attack just before her marriage. LUK gets MONG's head and replaces Kill's with it.

DAN is happy with Kill's new look. In the street Kill is entangled by CHIU and other bad people. She is forced to jump into the river. DAN catches up with her and tells her what has happened. She is excited. DAN trains Kill to be a beautiful lady and claims that he has dismissed Kill. He is proud of his new wife. DAN peeps at the Sacred Record Scroll. He steals CHOI's gold in his backyard. CHOI's family in trapped in poverty and CHOI dies at last. Knowing that SING will pass the examination, DAN helps SING when he is still poor. The Lord in the hell blames LUK. LUK argues with DAN and returns the gold to CHOI.

Episode 4 KIOD entangles Kill. Kill is confused. DAN argues with KIOU. CHIU brings KIOD to KIU's father but he knows nothing. DAN gets wind of the filthy relationship between the provincial judge and MA. He blackmails them with the provincial judge's belt. KIOD is happy to met Kill again but Kill in fact is not MONG. KIOD accuses DAN of kidnapping MONG. DAN is also accused of killing Kill. As the provincial judge is afraid of DAN, he helps DAN. KIOD accuses DAN in front of the Minister. CHIU suggests that a constable should be sent to MONG's birth place. KIOD is in deep grief as he is informed of MONG's death.

Knowing that he can no longer hide the truth, DAN tells the others what LUK has done for him. However no one believes him. DAN begs LUK to turn up but in vain. From the facts, DAN is accused of kidnapping and hypnotizing MONG after killing Kill. He is condemned to capital punishment. Kill tries to help DAN and is also sentenced to death. LUK is persuaded by the Lord in the hell to help DAN. Kill tries to seduce the Minister so that DAN can be released but her attempt is in vain. DAN is deeply touched. He regrets of what he has done. LUK shrinks DAN to test his courage. With the help of ants and butterflies, DAN manages to get Kill's head back. LUK fixes Kill's head and MONG's head onto their own bodies and changes DAN back to his original conditions. The others are convinced of LUK's power.

Being cursed by HILL DEMON, YING was changed into a parrot. KWOK, LIU and SHAN go to hunt a tiger. SHAN is coward and abandons KWOK when they find the tiger. KWOK kills the tiger but he is lurked by SHAN. YING leads a flock of birds to save KWOK. KWOK is brought to Fairy Forest. YING gets hurt and KWOK risks his life to save her. His sincere attitude breaks the curse and changes YING back into a girl. LIU wants to trick KWOK to leave the forest but his trick is known by YING. YING works hard to collect feathers to make an overcoat for KWOK so that he can survive in the bitterly cold winter. Knowing that he cannot stop YING, LIU gives YING his feather. HILL DEMON attacks YING. KWOK protects her. YING is deeply touched. Luckily HAWK KING comes and drives HILL DEMON away. HAWK KING appoints YING as the queen. YING does not want to accept the marriage. She tells HAWK KING that she and KWOK were engaged fifteen years ago.

KWOK saved a parrot fifteen years ago and KWOK joked that he would marry it. HAWK KING suggests that they can leave if they can fill the pond up with water. YING tries to stop KWOK as he will be exhausted and die. KWOK decides to stay with YING. They decide to give up their lives and jump into Death Valley. HAWK KING has mercy on them and decides to let them go. He warns KWOK that he must keep the secret all he will be punished by God. YING becomes a normal woman and her life is supported by Sacred Pearl. YING follows KWOK to his home village. Villagers there are tricked by SHAN and they nag at KWOK and YING. KWOK steals corns for YING. Being discovered, KWOK is beaten up. YING does not have the money to hire a doctor. LIU uses magic to make SHAN disclose the truth. When the villagers know that KWOK is the real hero killing the tiger, they appoint him as the Chief Guard. KWOK can share the happiness of success.

CHI admires KWOK but KWOK loves YING only. YING learns hard to be a good housewife but she causes many troubles. She is laughed at by her neighbor. She is embarrassed. KWOK and YING attend a banquet. YING cannot adapt to the crowded environment. She does not know that she should bring the present. KWOK is embarrassed. CHI seduces KWOK and KWOK tries to control his desire. KWOK has to protect HIN. HIN is attracted by CHI's charm. KWOK asks YING to regard CHI as her model. CHI uses HIN to make KWOK jealous. She swears to win over KWOK's heart. LIU uses the Magic Mirror to let YING see KWOK. YING is happy as she knows that KWOK suggests CHI to be his foster sister. LIU tries to bridge HIN and CHI. However they are fooled by the fate. HIN sends KWOK to go for him. As KWOK is trapped in the Peach Blossom Maze, he loses his self-control and sleeps with CHI.

KWOK gives CHI the Safety Incarnation. YING begs KWOK to leave CHI but KWOK ignores her. CHI frames YING and KWOK turns to CHI. KWOK feels guilty as YING is sick. LIU goes to question KWOK when he knows what has happened. Claiming that she has got hurt, CHI succeeds in making KWOK stay with her. In order to flatter CHI, KWOK sells his house but he loses all the money in gambling. HILL DEMON impersonates a rich merchant and asks KWOK to get YING's Sacred Pearl. YING is drunk and KWOK gets the Sacred Pearl. He gives it to the rich merchant but the money turns into leaves. LIU scolds KWOK and asks him to get the Sacred Pearl back or YING will die.

LIU and KWOK challenge HILL DEMON with a duel. HAWK KING comes to help them. They can the Sacred Pearl back. However LIU is killed by HILL DEMON. Seeing CHI being intimate to HIN, KWOK is jealous. He attacks HIN but he is driven away by HIN's subordinates. KWOK is seriously hurt and on the brink of death. YING brings KWOK to the Magic Spring but it is frozen. SPRING BIRD helps YING by making spring arrive earlier. KWOK is cured by YING. KWOK misses CHI and he begs YING to let him go. YING is in deep grief. KWOK does not keep his promise and tells CHI that YING is a feather-fairy. The sky darkens and HAWK KING appears. He orders YING to kill KWOK who has betrayed her. However YING still loves him and gives up her life for him. KWOK realizes how great YING's love is but it is too late.

SHEUNG is discontented with the pre-arranged marriage, so she runs away from home. She comes across TING and they attract each other. TING marries SHEUNG. When they are returning home, they meet a blizzard. They are trapped in a cave. SHEUNG dies but her ghost bears TING's baby. The ghost guard has mercy on her and allows her to deliver the baby before bringing her to hell. HIN's wife abandons SANG beside the river. SHEUNG worries. With SHIU and the ghost guard's assistance, SHEUNG goes to the earthly world during the solar eclipse. She has to stay in the earthly world for three years. SHEUNG saves SANG. TING and his dumb maiden also go there to find SANG. TING is driven crazy as he cannot find the baby.

SHEUNG reunites with TING. SANG does not have sufficient essence. TING transfuses his to SANG and TING is exhausted. SHEUNG haunts IDN and threatens IDN's wife to treat TING and his family good. Three years passes and one day SANG comes across KA when he is chasing a rabbit. KA wants to catch SANG to make wine. SHEUNG drives KA away. SHEUNG returns to hell. SHEUNG's image has been deeply carved in SANG's mind. When he has grown up, he draws of portrait of her. The picture impresses many people. SHAN takes SANG's picture to a competition. SANG takes it back as he looks down upon the competition. CHI is angry. SUET urges SANG to show her the picture. SANG is interested in her. As SUET can tell the real meaning of the picture, SANG feels strange.

Episode 13 The emperor wants to have a look of SANG's picture. SUET borrows it from SANG and promises top be his model. SUET appreciates SANG's talent and this makes CHI jealous. The emperor summons SANG but SANG refuses to go to the palace. SUET convinces him. An artist from Xiyi challenges the emperor. The emperor appoints SANG to be his representative. CHI is unhappy. SANG wins the competition. The emperor appoints SANG "Heavenly Artist". After drinking wine, CHI discloses his love of SUET in front of her. SUET is frightened. SANG comes and releases SUET from the dangerous situation. SANG draws a portrait for the emperor. The emperor is happy and SANG begs the emperor him to bridge SUET and him. CHI is depressed.

CHI assists KA to deal with SANG. They tell the emperor that SANG is a ghost. The emperor instructs CHAI to investigate SANG. SUET defends SANG and accuses cm having framed SANG for jealousy. To prove that SANG has no connection with the ghost, SANG has to draw a wall picture at Phoenix Platform. KA uses magic to curse SANG, making him unable to draw. SHEUNG worries. SHIU and the ghost guard help SHEUNG again. SHEUNG arrives and defeats KA. SANG finishes his work in time. SANG is curious of his background and he questions TING and HIN. However he is not satisfied with their answers. SANG goes to the cave to find SHEUNG. SHEUNG appears and tells SANG that he cannot admit her as his mother. KA comes and catches them.

In order to make CHAI trust him, SANG hurts SHEUNG. CHAI is satisfied and sets them free. SHEUNG gives copper coins to TING, SANG and SUET to protect them. KA catches SHEUNG. SANG is also trapped as he wants to save SHEUNG. His real identity is disclosed. SHEUNG threatens the emperor to save SANG. SUET goes to find SANG but is tricked by cm. She faints and luckily the copper coin spoils the curse. She is saved. cm falls down to a stony beach and dies. KA chases SANG and SHEUNG. SHIU and the ghost guard come to help them. KA is defeated and killed. SANG uses up his essence. SHEUNG brings SANG to see Hell God. Hell God is touched by them. He appoints SHEUNG a new Hell God and gives SANG sufficient essence to be a real man. SANG lives happily with SUET and is respected by the others.

LONG and FUNG are loves. FUNG's father SIN is a temple-keeper and he also tricks other villagers' money. As the villagers give him a forged gold flower, SIN is angry. He poisons the fishes in the pond. FUNG begs LONG to keep the secret for her. SIN does not thank her; instead he blames LONG having made the God angry. FUNG decides to disclose the truth. The villagers trounce SIN. SIN is discontented. FUNG elopes with LONG. They are robbed by WAI. In order to protect FUNG, LONG is killed by WAI. FUNG is in deep grief. The ghost guard discovers that he has made a mistake. LONG should stay on earth. To compensate, he steals the magic pill from the fox and gives it to LONG. After eating it, LONG waits for an opportunity to become an earthly man again. As LONG does not want FUNG to miss him so much, he appears in front of her. SIN is frightened.

SIN sells incarnations to make profits. His business is spoiled by the ghost guard. SIN and LONG are trounced hard by the villagers. SIN is driven away from the temple. FUNG gives LONG a love tie to represent their love. The new temple? keeper hires some actors and actresses to play a drama. LONG warns the villagers as everyone has a burning incense on their heads and the gate is guarded by ghosts. However no one listens to him. Suddenly it is on fire. LONG tries to open the gate. FUNG goes to find LONG and she faints. LONG saves many people but SIN is disregarded as the hero. SIN does not clarify. As LONG has broken the law of the hell, he is taken away by ghost guards. FUNG misses and refuses to marry other people.

A fox comes and impersonate a man. He wants to make LONG turn up by raping FUNG. With the ghost guard's assistance, both LONG and FUNG are all right. The ghost guard tells them that LONG can come to earth by taking FUEN's body. FUNG meets FUEN but when YUET sees her, she objects to the marriage. FUEN falls downs lope and is saved by FUNG. YUET is unhappy to see FUEN being so intimate to FUNG. LONG appears and explain to them. LONG does not want to spoil the happiness being YUET and FUEN. As LONG may take FUEN's body, FUNG cannot help being intimate to FUEN. YUET is jealous. LONG finds YUET have a strong character, thus he asks FUNG to speak with her.

In order to save FUEN, LONG and FUNG try to spoil the marriage. However YUET comes with a dagger. On the lakeside, YUET kills FUEN. LONG does not want to take FUEN's body, so he pushes FUEN's spirit into his body again. FUEN returns and they are excited. Knowing that LONG has missed the chance, FUNG is SAU. The ghost guard has mercy on them and gives LONG one more chance. LONG's next chance is WAI' S son YI. When LONG and LONG find WAI beating a doctor they stop WAI.LONG impersonates WAI to commit robbery. WAI is arrested. YI tells the others that the doctor tricked their money when YI was sick. LONG knows that he has made a mistake again.

WAI is imprisoned. LONG and FUNG looks after YI. Knowing that WAI regrets killing him, LONG returns the money to the owner. WAI is released. YI faints and LONG gives him treatment. WAI is shocked to see LONG and LONG tells him that he did not die. YI faints again. LONG begs the ghost guard cure him. LONG misses his chance again. SIN and FUNG tell other people the story of LONG. They are touched and pray together. The Goddess appears and announces that LONG has one more chance. FUNG rides on a raft to return to the temple. She is drowned. LONG realizes FUNG is his last chance but he cannot take her body. He pushes her spirit back into the body. FUNG is grievous. A young man comes and asks her to marry him. She stares at him and finds that he is LONG who has come to live again. They finally can get married.

The princess is deceived by WU who has impersonated her master. WU takes Ching Hui Stone away. LEUNG chases after the old fox. However she comes across FUNG, the King of Bees. FUNG knows that LEUNG is a flower fairy. LEUNG runs away. YAU loves flowers and he is attracted by LEUNG in the form of a flower. LEUNG suspects that BOR is haunted by WU. When she is questioning him, WU escapes. When LEUNG knows YAU's love of her, she is impressed. In the backyard, LEUNG finds WU but FUNG has also arrived. LEUNG changes back into a flower to take refuge. FUNG sets the brush on fire to force LEUNG out. LEUNG leaves her flower body and is saved by WU. When she wants to return to the flower, it is too late as the flower has been picked and taken home by Lord LING.

YAU saves LEUNG and brings her home. Knowing that there is a flower exhibition in LING's house, YAU secretly goes to attend it. He is attracted by LEUNG's flower and when it wilts suddenly, he is nearly driven crazy. LING appreciates YAU's love of flowers and gives him the flower. LEUNG teaches YAU to use five-color earth and water from Heaven Pond to bring the flower back to life again. As the flower gets its life back, LEUNG recovers. FUNG defeats the princess and WU and nearly takes the stone away. LING uses his sacred sword to stop FUNG. The master returns and gets the stone back. To thank LING, the master allows him to keep the stone for three years. LEUNG has to leave YAU though YAU misses her. From Heaven Eye Spring, LEUNG knows that YAU is haunted by a flower demon.

The flower demon impersonates MONG to stay close to YAU LEUNG worries. The princess checks the Flower Scroll that LEUNG can be an intimate friend of YAU for thirty years but if they get married, the marriage can only last for three years. There will also be hazards. LEUNG claims to be YAU's cousin LONG so as to protect him. LONG and MONG hate each other. YAU has special feelings towards LONG as they have common interests. BOR and his wife worry and MONG are jealous. As LONG is searching for a jade accessory, they are attacked by a snake. LONG kills the snake. As they have nearly been killed, they lose their self-controls and hug each other. YAU regains his mind. He is shocked and embarrassed.

Incidentally YAU discovers that LONG is LEUNG. He is excited but he does not tell LEUNG. MONG impersonates LONG to date YAU LONG spoils her plan but YAU's essence has been swallowed by MONG. LONG drives her away. MONG swears to avenge the humiliation. LONG discloses her real identity and becomes YAU's intimate friend. FUNG comes again and LEUNG tries her best to protect YAU MONG is stuck with FUNG by some honey and they escape together. LEUNG has been hurt seriously. YAU brings her to the Heaven Pond. There they lose their self-control and have intimate relationship. Three years later YAU visits the CHORs. FUNG lays a trap. Madam CHOR kills her maiden CHUN TO and YAU is framed as the killer.

YAU is sentenced capital punishment. LEUNG knows that LING has to royal golden medal which can set YAU free. She decides to attend the beauty contest. As the others think that LEUNG is a materialistic girl, she is looked down upon. LEUNG does not mind as she only wants to save YAU MONG and FUNG have merged to become one identity. MONG sees LEUNG and wants to threaten her to assist their plan. LING has preparation and when he sees FUNG and MONG, he fights with them. LEUNG also helps LING and at last both FUNG and MONG are killed. LEUNG gets LING's medal and saves YAU YAU cannot forgive LEUNG as he thinks that she has betrayed him. Later he is told that LEUNG and LING have no filthy relationship. Instead they have become foster brother and sister. However it is too late as LEUNG has jumped down the cliff YAU regrets and follows her. The stone changes into a fairy mountain and both LEUNG and YAU become fairies. LING is happy.

SUT is a shrew and her husband YUNG is a hen-pecked man. NGAU frames and tricks YUNG. YUNG is forced to sign an IOU. To pay the debt, SUT urges YUNG to go to the mountain and get the White Snake. YUNG hurts the snake and releases YI, who is a bat demon. WAN asks SANG to bring SUT a necklace so that SUT can be protected. WAN hopes that the YEUNGs' descendant can be found as he can kill YI. YI claims that he is a hero who has killed the snake. He is respected by the others. HAI and FU, who are also demons, follow YI. LING is discontented with YUNG who is so coward. NGAU gets YUNG's spear. SANG asks NGAU to kill the demon with YUNG's spear. NGAU is frightened and returns the spear to YUNG. SANG uses stones to pay the debt for YUNG. He also gives the necklace to SUT. Knowing that SUT has the Fire Pill, YI catches SUT.

WAN's spirit appears and saves SUT. YI is hurts and runs away. YI embarrasses YUNG in front of LING. LING appreciates YI. YI gives SUT a pearl hairpin to show his love. SUT refuses to take it. SUT is depressed as YUNG is so coward. In order to raise his courage, SUT decides to go out with YI. However YUNG does not object to her act. SUT claims that YUNG must challenge YI with a duel or she will marry YI. YUNG studies spear ship hard. SANG claims that he will use magic to help him. YUNG nearly defeats YI but when SANG has been caught by HAI and FU, he collapses.

SUT refuses to marry YI. LING cannot change her mind. SUT nags at YUNG to raise his courage, in chaos, SUT is pushed down and faints. YUNG knocks his head towards the wall and dies. In his spiritual form, YUNG realizes that SUT did all for him. SUT kills herself to follow YUNG. YI is happy as he has an opportunity to catch SUT. In hell, YI wants to rape SUT but in vain as she is protected by WAN. Thus YI tortures SUT. For SUT, YUNG studies hard. SANG shows YUNG how SUT is tortured. YUNG is angry. YUNG breaks into YI's cave and fights with YI. SUT is impressed by YUNG's performance.

WAN's spirit hurts YI. SANG and YUNG grasp the chance to escape. SANG teaches YUNG to change what has happened by turning the Yin Yang Wheel. Back to the past, YUNG is still defeated and kills himself but he manages to stop SUT from committing suicide. SUT keeps YUNG's death as a secret. YI impersonates YUNG and rapes LAN. SUT is angry. YUNG persuades LAN to leave YI. LAN wants to sacrifice herself and drinks the water with incarnation. YI kisses LAN and drinks the water with incarnation indirectly. He feels hurt. As LAN cannot be found, NGAU thinks that she has been killed YUNG. SUT brings NGAU to see YUNG's ghost. NGAU is shocked.

YI recovers and commits crime in YUNG's name. He uses SUT to bait YUNG and catches him. YUNG uses all his power to drive his spear to release him. As SUT does not want to marry YI, she kills herself With his ancestor's instruction, YUNG goes to the past again, in the duel, YUNG hurts YI and makes him turn back into a bat. The others are frightened. YI kidnaps SUT. YUNG cannot defeat YI. YI pushes SUT towards the wall and kills her. With WAN's clue, YUNG hurts YI's ear. YI is killed. SANG uses the Fire Pill to bring both SUT and YUNG to life again.

HIU is a scholar who stays in Fat Kwong Temple so that he can concentrate on his studies. One night, he dreams of a sacred lotus. Therefore he urges TUNG to go to the backyard with him, ignoring that it is a restricted zone. HIU wants to get the lotus but he is sucked into a cavern. There he finds a master. HIU falls asleep. LOO summons SANG and tells SANG that he will die soon. He also tells SANG that HIU is going to inherit him role. However HIU must go to Tin Ling Temple to be inspired. SANG takes refuge in Fat Kwong Temple to stay away from the attack of devils. HEUNG and LONG are two devils of fox. They impersonate human beings to approach HIU. HIU is attracted by HEUNG. HEUNG falls into SANG's trap. HIU misinterprets SANG's intention. Thinking that SANG is a devil, he saves HEUNG and takes her into Fat Kwong Temple. HIU uses the sacred ball to protect HEUNG but it nearly makes her turn back into a fox.

HIU brings HEUNG to find an old herbalist for treatment. HIU returns to the temple to find HEUNG's grandfather. SANG finds HEUNG but LONG is also there. SANG is hurt by them seriously. SANG runs away and meets HIU. Knowing that he will die soon, SANG tells HIU the power he inherits from LOO. He asks HIU to seek advice from TIN in Tin Ling Temple. HEUNG seduces HIU but in vain. Instead she is touched by HIU's sincere attitude. LONG tries to help HEUNG but in vain. HIU continues his way to Tin Ling Temple with HEUNG. They take temporary accommodation in an old man's house. In fact the old man is LONG. HIU nearly loses his self-control but at the last moment he runs away. HIU meets YUNG. LONG attacks YUNG and in chaos HIU is poisoned. YOOG sucks the poison out from HIU's body.

YUNG discloses her love in front of HIU. HIU does not know how to handle. HEUNG uses music to bait HIU. LONG wants to kill HIU but HEUNG changes her mind. She protects HIU and hurts LONG. As HEUNG has cursed HIU, YUNG cannot hurt her. YUNG learns that HIU has a fiancee SAU, so she impersonates SAU to seduce HIU. FUI also arrives at the inn. YUNG asks FUI to escort HEUNG to her home village. HIU has to agree reluctantly. In fact FUI is a ghost. HEUNG strikes back and escapes. YUNG breaks HEUNG's magic and questions HIU the magic left by LUN. HEUNG wakes HIU up and leads him to peep at YUNG outside her room. They find YUNG being a skeleton.

HEUNG and HIU run away. HEUNG uses magic to make HIU faint so that she can have a duel with YUNG. HIU decides to quit her engagement and marry HEUNG. As HEUNG gets hurt, she changes back into a fox. HIU is shocked and loses his consciousness. LONG haunts TUNG so that he can kill HIU. HEUNG saves HIU. YUNG also arrives and argues with HEUNG. HIU is annoyed and decides to go away with TUNG. HIU meets SAU in a temple. SAU is jealous as she sees HIU keeping HEUNG's bag. When HIU, SAU and TUNG are walking on a bridge, it collapses. Luckily HEUNG uses a boulder to fill up the gap so that they can walk over it. HIU thanks HEIUNG but HEUNG only asks him to return the bag to her. SAU is angry.

HEUNG gives SAU a necklace. YUNG grasps a chance to break HEUNG's protection and haunts SAU. HIU is going to marry SAU but HEDNG comes to stop him. HIU is tricked as he witnesses HEUNG killing SAU. HEUNG does not have the chance to explain. YUNG accompanies HIU and they are lurked by LONF. YUNG kills LONG. The King of Phantoms attack HIU and YUNG protects him. HIU trusts YUNG. In Tin Ling Temple, TIN takes out the gold needle in HIU's brain. He tells HIU that HIU and YUNG have been couples for lives, thus they should get married. YUNG sucks the scroll appearing on HIU's body. HIU is exhausted. In fact TIN is the King of Phantoms. He fights with YUNG as YUNG wants to get the scroll alone. However he is defeated by YUNG. HEUNG comes and uses her essence pearl to terminate YUNG. However she is also killed. Before she dies, she cures HIU. HIU regrets but it is too late. At last he decides to become a monk.

YAN appoints YEUNG to inherit the Sacred Sword before he dies. YU follows YEUNG to shoulder the responsibility to get rid of demons and monsters. They kill the SNAKE KING. CHING escapes and swears to avenge her husband's death. YEUNG comes across CHI. YEUNG is impressed by CHI who is a kind and naive girl. CHI finds a female fox who has got hurt. She brings the fox to her grandfather. In fact the fox is her mother. THUNDER GOD urges CHI to marry him. CHI's five grandfathers protect her. CHING threatens CHI to betray YEUNG. In exchange she will give CHI the Lightning Rope to drive THUNDER GOD away. CHI refuses to help CHING. THUNDER GOD arrives and CHI's grandfathers fight with him. YEUNG is aware of the attack and he rushes to help CHI. He is stuck by thunders and faints.

YU brings YEUNG to a hut and discovers that CHI is a fox. Knowing that CHI has no intention to hurt YEUNG, YU feels relieved. CHI dares not to disclose her identify as YU tells her that YEUNG hates foxes for his parents were killed by foxes. CHING seduces THUNDER GOD so as to deal with YEUNG together. YEUNG falls in love with CHI. CHIN, one of CHI's grandfathers secretly meets CHI. Thinking that CHIN has been impersonated by a fox demon, YEUNG kills CHUN. YU comes to save CHI. CHI wants to leave but YEUNG discloses his feeling to ask CHI to stay. THUNDER GOD attacks YEUNG. YEUNG has not completely recovered and cannot defeat him. The land surface cracks as struck by thunders. CHI falls into one of them. YEUNG wants to save her but he also falls into it.

They fall into an underground palace. As there is no food and water, they give up all their hopes and have sex. They are exhausted and luckily YEUNG finds some water. As there is a moth, CHI is certain that there is an exit. YEUNG opens an exit with his Sacred Sword. CHI's grandfather and mother arrive. YEUNG kills them as he thinks they want to hurt CHI. CHI is in deep grief. CHI cannot stay with YEUNG who has killed her relatives. She leaves secretly. CHING impersonates CHI and pretends to be chased after by foxes. YEUNG saves her.

CHI learns what CHING has done and rushes to save YEUNG. Her grandfathers want to stop her. WONG has mercy on CHI and let’s go of her. YEUNG is poisoned by CHING. CHI comes and fights with CHING. YEUNG wakes up. Not knowing what has happened, YEUNG thrusts his sword towards CHI. Luckily YU stops him. CHI impersonates CHING to force her to reveal her identity. CHING is so cunning that she lets CHI hurt her. YEUNG stops CHI. CHI is SAU and leaves. YU tells YEUNG that CHI has run away and the girl in front of YEUNG is CHING. YEUNG does not listen to YU as he thinks that YU has been cursed. As YU knows her identity, CHING tricks YEUNG away so that she can kill YU.

YEUNG returns in time. CHING claims that YU wanted to rape her. YU has no way to make explanation. CHI tricks YEUNG to her fort. THUNDER GOD tells YEUNG the trick as he thinks that CHI is CHING. CHI's real identity is also known by YEUNG. YEUNG leaves with CHING. THUNDER GOD wants to rape CHI. She is saved by YU and her grandfathers. CHING pretends that she has been hurt by fox demons. YEUNG uses the pearl on the Sacred Sword to save her. It loses its magical power. CHING disclose her real face and tries to kill YEUNG. CHI comes but she cannot defeat CHING. CHI's grandfathers use all their strength to fix the pearl on the Sacred Sword. CHING changes into CHI again. YEUNG does not know who is CHI. CHI hugs CHING and throw themselves towards the Scared Sword. Both are killed by the Sacred Sword. YEUNG regrets but it is too late.
