The Popeye Show (2001)
The Popeye Show is a cartoon anthology series that premiered on November 11, 2001, on Cartoon Network. Each episode would include three unedited Popeye theatrical shorts from Fleischer Studios and/or Famous Studios. The show was narrated by Bill Murray, who would give the audience short facts about the history of the cartoons as filler material between each short. Animation historian Jerry Beck served as a consultant and Barry Mills served as writer and producer. A total of 45 episodes were produced, consisting of a total of 135 shorts.

Sock-A-Bye, Baby Popeye tries to silence all kinds of noisemakers so that Billy can sleep. Anyone or anything that makes noise and wakes up the baby gets punched out by Popeye. The Jeep Fightin Pals Popeye goes to darkest Africa to search for his lost fightin' pal, Dr. Bluto. In a definite plot twist, Popeye and Bluto are friends in this cartoon. Bluto feeds spinach to an ailing Popeye.

Beware of Barnacle Bill Olive explains that she can't marry Popeye because she's really in love with Barnacle Bill, who then comes by and proceeds to pound Popeye (until he eats his spinach, that is). Wimmin Is A Myskery Popeye asks Olive to marry him. She says she has to have time to think and will give her answer in the morning, she goes to bed and dreams what thier kids would be like.
