This Is Not My Life (2010)
This Is Not My Life is a 2010 New Zealand television mystery thriller which originally aired on Television New Zealand's TV ONE channel on Thursday nights. Set in the 2020s, the show centres on Alec Ross who awakes one morning to find that he doesn't know who or where he is and doesn't recognise his wife or children. The story is set in the fictional town of Waimoana. The series is written by Rachel Lang and Gavin Strawhan and directed by Robert Sarkies and Peter Salmon. Thirteen episodes have been produced. Though the show only lasted one season, it has been announced American network ABC has purchased the series to adapt for an American audience.

Callie and Alec undergo relationship counselling and Alec fears the consequences. He tracks down a troubled young woman whom he suspects is a kindred spirit. But can he trust her?
Alec and Jessica uncover some startling information about Waimoana and the people who live there. Jessica has a jealous suitor who is able to track them, but Alec learns he has some useful skills.
Becky is having nightmares that may reveal more secrets, and Alec suspects they are being brainwashed; and Jessica learns the danger of talking to the wrong people but she and Alec finally find proof.
Alec is determined to learn what happened to Kyle and finds an unlikely ally in Dr Collins. But his actions put Jessica in serious danger and he is forced to work with Gordy to save her.
Gordy thinks he has won the girl but he needs Alec's help to find out about her past. They break into secret security head quarters and learn much more than they bargained for. Has Alec been betrayed?
Gordy covers his tracks but Jessica is thrilled to discover Alec is still alive. When 'terrorists', break into Waimoana, Alec and Jessica attempt to escape but are caught up in the crossfire.
Alec finally meets the mysterious Harry who has come to Waimoana with a bold plan for Alec and Becky's escape, but Alec quickly learns Harry cannot be trusted.
Believing Alec has gone, Jessica agrees to Gordy's big plans; and Harry pleads with Alec not to get involved with the 'terrorists', but with Richard closing in, Alec is running out of options.
Richard reveals his big plans for Waimoana but all Alec can think about is getting out. Jessica has her own reasons for wanting him to leave but they can't deny their true feelings forever.
Alec learns his real role with Recall, the so-called terrorists. They have firm plans to get Alec, Becky and Jessica out of Waimoana, but Alec has to set things right first, especially for Callie.
In the season finale of This Is Not My Life, Alec's plans run smoothly at first, until Hope takes her revenge and Richard extracts information that throws everything into jeopardy.
