Murder in Eden is a British television series directed by Nicholas Renton and featuring Ian Bannen, Peter Firth and Alun Armstrong. It was first aired on the BBC in 1991 in three episodes of 55 minutes. It was set in a remote part of rural County Donegal where a landlord of a pub murders his barmen. He is blackmailed by one of the other inhabitants, while the police are busy hunting for the killer. It was based on the novel Bogmail by Patrick McGinley.

The sleepy fishing village of Glenkeel in Ireland's County Donegal is about to have its population reduced by one. Sergeant McGing will be delighted. He's dreamed of a good murder for years. But someone's ahead of him. They already know who's done it. And the murderer knows they know when he opens a letter signed 'The Bogmailer'.

The sleepy village of Glenkeel, Co Donegal is now wide awake after Sergeant McGing finds the severed foot of the missing barman hanging from his door knocker. Meanwhile the Englishman Kenneth Potter's feud with Canon Loftus hots up.

Episode 3 - Episode 3
August. 02,1991

More bits of the missing barman have been turning up in the picturesque Irish fishing village of Glenkeel. Meanwhile the Bogmailer's letters to Roarty are becoming increasingly outrageous in style and content, while Potter's affair with the Canon's housekeeper may yet prove to be life threatening.
