Birds of Prey Marked as Restricted Movie

Warner Bros. and DC announced Birds of Prey was determined to be an restricted movie, and the film's director, Cathy Yan, confirmed the news. It means that the film will contain a large number of violent scenes, which can be reference to Deadpool and Logan. It is reported that Birds of Prey plans to be released on February 7, 2020 in North America.



Although the DC superhero movies always cover dark theme and the action scenes are very intense, but it also tries to make the film into a PG-13, which is very restrained in the scenes of bloodshed and violence. As we know, restricted movie could lose lots of chance in theater.


Warner Bros. wants to gain more box office since Deadpool was marketed widely by restricted, Logan was also made restricted movie specially, which had the same result. Based on comic, Deadpool and Logan which marked restricted were closed to Fans' desire.


Birds of Prey tells the story of the super heroine team led by Harley Quinn fight to crime. Members of the Birds of Prey are also include Black Canary, Huntress, Renee Montoya, Cassandra Cain.The current cast of the cast: Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Roxy Perez as Renee Montoya.
