The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Eva and Lola have a lot in common. They are good friends with a lot in common. They are performance artists in a small cabaret act in Buenos Aires. They also share something the horrible history the country suffered during the military dictatorship, both are daughters of victims of that nefarious regime.Eva lives in an imaginary world where she talks to a non existing father, as a way to connect with the childhood that was stolen from her. Lola, on the other hand, has been brought up by a couple of what appear solid citizens. Lola knows about the terrible wrong that was done to her, but she is reluctant to face the facts that Eva urges her to recognize.Eva, who lives alone, finds a friend in Lucas, who runs a bar across the street from her apartment. Eve likes the man, yet, she is reluctant to go beyond of the good vibes between them. Lola's father, nicknamed 'El Oso' has been cited in the papers as one of the men that took advantage during the military regime to steal the young girl. He is now in a hospital, handcuffed to his bed, suffering a serious condition.Sabrina Farji, the director of the film, co-wrote the screenplay with Victoria Grigera Dupuy. It is a dark tale about the abuses of another era. The idea, in paper, must have appeared to be correct. However, the creators get off the main topic in scenes that while well executed, take our attention away from the real issue to base the narrative.Celeste Cid proves she has an enormous talent. In addition to bringing a fresh approach to her role, Ms. Cid shows she is a beautiful woman with charisma to spare. Emme, who was one of the best things in "El Nino Pez", shows she is another new face in the Argentine cinema to be reckoned with. Ms. Cid and Emme compliment one another. The supporting players are also appealing, especially Alejandro Awada, Victoria Carreras, Juan Minujin and the wonderful Jorge D'Elia.
