This is a story of the power of giving, greed, and the unraveling of a crowdsourcing scheme due to arrogance and ineptitude. During the holiday season of 2017, Mark D’Amico and Kate McClure started a Gofundme fundraiser to help a homeless veteran heroin addict. It went viral and captured the hearts of 14,000 people worldwide, and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars. best movie i've ever seen.
I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
