Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.

This documentary tells the story of some gay men who are on board a gay cruise to discover themselves and their lifestyles. Some websites and blogs have portrayed this documentary as an expose of how gay cruises are not fun, and trigger insecurities of gay men. I think it is not true at all. In fact, this documentary tells how several gay men successfully understand themselves on a gay cruise. It is a documentary that is filmed on a gay cruise, but not about a gay cruise.

It was interesting to know the backstories of a few passengers, but everything else is boring. The scant costumes in every scene, the used condoms all over the deck, the public display of fallatio; it all presented evidence of stereotypes that we try to contradict in the gay community. It was easy to see their attempt to present a ship full of supposed eye candy, but the melodramatic flamboyance was a major turn off. If you're going to create a gay cruise documentary, change the music, and include more variety in the interviews. I began to fall asleep attempting to give this movie a chance, and I don't often fall asleep during new movies.

Honestly, why did they make a documentary about mostly gays guys whose family/religion doesn't accept (maybe that's the reason they go on a gay cruise, but still they are repressed as if they were in main land) Mostly ppl who scaped their country to some European place cuz being gay was a torture in their homeland, which is something gay people deal with (I know, I am gay) But all this movie doe sis showing how gay people act when they're at outside the laws, like their only purpose is to find someone with great abs, sexy bearded face, otherwise, they are not worth it Real gay people as not as shallow (at least I want to believe that), we don't go from cruise to cruise to find our best sex experience which might or might not be the love of our lives All this movie makes is showing gays from many cultures/problems (handicap, fat, ugly, not tanned enough, old) everything that society sees as a homophobe facts is represented here, as if all gay people are so damn selfish Take my advice, even if you live in a homophobe country and want to feel connected to people with the same traumas, stay away from this, this is the worst example of how a gay person is...a person

Basically it lacks of substances as a documentary. Through interviews of some not-so-ordinary gay fellows, you get to see what is is like taking a gay boat trip. The real documentary would be to show how this people live in the real word... Where they probably dress, looks and probably behave differently. Aside from the clichés you could expect to see in this type of leisure activities, add the drugs that didn't seem interested in showing, just to make flight the perfect cocktail (probably a good aid to live in such a superficial world.) That being said, as a gay men i feel ashamed for this documentary, it does no good as press about the community. It doesn't represent the vast majority out there. I wouldn't like my parents to see a film like this, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who actually cares to see more of what it's like being gay.
