To me, this movie is perfection.
Fresh and Exciting
It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
This movie has all the elements of a great Masala flick that will have you laughing all the way to the end. Ajay Devgn as Jassi is on top of his game in this movie keeping you laughing at his antics as he tries to escape the clutches of Billu played by Sanjay Dutt. The pillow scene is howlingly funny. It's is refreshing to see Sanjay play the usual gangster type roll, but with humor toning down his usual evil muscle bad boy image. Sonakshi as Meet brings her usual freshness to the screen and Juhi as Pammi will keep you giggling as she tries in vane to get Billu to marry her. Both females add depth and beauty to the story line. The musical parts are brilliantly composed and a cameo with Salman Khan in the end just sums up the whole goofiness of the film.
This movie was very indeed very entertaining to me. It was a fun movie to watch... a movie you could watch over and over. This movie had average music and average acting which was not bad. This movie was full comedy. Spoilers in this movie would be the story. The movie could be very unrealistic and foolish at much scenes. The comedy on the other hand could also seem foolish to others at much scenes. If you are a person who isn't amused easily by average comedy and aren't caught on by a unrealistic movie this movie may not be your type. On the other hand, if you are a person easily amused by good comedy and catchy script and don't mind watching a bit of unrealistic thing this movie may just be your cup of coffee!
SOS is remake of telugu movie "Maryade Ramanna" which is also a remake of kannada movie "balagalittu olage baa'!! but all these movies are inspired by Hollywood "our hospitality" !! I have watched maryade ramanna in telugu directed by rajmouli of Eega and Magadheera fame.. telugu version is really awesome.. you don't move even for a second while watching it.. I expected a lot from SOS.. but SOS is completely different .. in marayada ramanna , lead character is not portrayed like a hero who can beat bunch of guys single handedly.. but in SOS, sardaar is a macho hero which completely contradicts the story.. Ajay Devgn really lost an excellent opportunity making of a classic thriller by trying to please masses.. i couldn't understand whether it is a comedy or action or thriller movie.. Me being die hard fan of Ajay Devgn got really disappointed with this..!!!
If we remove the songs (20min of total movie duration) then this movie is just nothing I would say ! Director/script writer tried too hard to create humor but I don't think a movie should be made this way. When a single so called funny scene takes move than 20 minutes then I don't think anybody would be able to laugh after that because of exhaustion.I am not sure what has happened to Bollywood w.r.t Action Sequences. Not sure for what kind of audience they are still trying to include those non-sense action movies defeating all the gravity rules.Punjabi accent is another big drawback of the movie. None of the cast has been to deliver the dialogues properly in Punjabi language, which is the core of this movie ! Conclusion - You might like to avoid going theater for this one !
