It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

I am an ardent fan of Hollywood movies but I missed Usual suspects. Still in 2015 I never watched it. In 2006 a neighbor told me that chocolate is excellent movie. I got it rented and watched. After watching it I was like my jaw fell off with tongue outside. This is brilliant in Indian movie industry. Some people never digest Hollywood plots and these kind of movies. By god's grace I was able to. I never watched Usual suspects and watched this. It has grip, it lets you glued to your seat.In 2015, I watched it again, I knew the story but still feeling the same. Vivek Agnihotri might have lifted it up but copying anything with that much brilliance requires an art.He proved it! For me, its 8/10 coz I watched it earlier. Else it could have been 10. Brilliant work, Irfan khan is known face these days but in 2006, I was loving his acting in this movie. Anil Kapoor did brilliant job, Arshad Warsi, Suniel, Emran and Tanushree were good. The credit goes to director for this work. Thankfully I am not able to compare it and hence I still like it.

Innumerable movies have been copied and perhaps "Chocolate" qualifies for the worst when it comes to adapting for Bollywood. For starters, the story line is loaded with complexity. Added to it are the sub-plots which are far too many and should have been trimmed down to aid the comprehension of the Bollywood audience. And the non-linear progression adds to the woes. There are too many unwarranted "sex" references (read that "force-fit"). Basing the London was a bad idea. Performance wise Anil Kapoor delivers a strong screen-presence. Next is Arshad Warsi. Tanushree Dutta attempts hard to display her "oomph". Emran Hashmi hardly leaves an impact. Sunil Shetty was extremely wooden. Irfan Khan is perhaps the worst considering the expectations that would arise when his name is associated with the project. Sushma Reddy is awful on both department, choice of costumes and acting. I was amused to the opening credits stating "Inspired Films" presents. I suppose "Plagiarised Films" would more more apt.

This is a really good thriller keeps you in suspense throughout the movie ending is shocking but the story could have had more if the ending were different this movie still has the type of stupidity but it is a genius there is good elements in this movie especially the character that Anil Kapoor is obsessed with finding won't reveal the character you just have to watch the movie but it is a great story with only Anil Kapoor and Irfan Khan delivering a good performance the rest are just cheesily hanging around Sunil Shetty is a lso pretty good perofrmance it's a good movie it just lacks some elements which makes it a weak candor but otherwise it's good suspenseful it's enjoyable songs suck but the movie is good the story althoug weakened by the ending

This is the Best Indian Movie I saw this Year. The Story was perfect. You won't be able to Guess anything (if you haven't watched TUS)Well basically I saw the movie last night. I couldn't really stop watching it. even though I had my Exams today. But Once I reached the End I was Exceptionally satisfied with the End. However I started having a Bad feeling about the movie. I have this sort of feeling when I watched other movies too. Somehow I guessed that it was a clone of TUS though I never Saw TUS in my whole life but I am craving to watch the movie. (Just like the time I saw Saaya before Dragonfly) And Guess what. Today I was reading the Reviews and found many people saying it's a clone.Anyways I would still recommend the movie to all Viewers Indian and foreign. It's really worth your money.
