I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.
Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
Playback presents the bitter truth of ruined family relations in a disregard retrospective by the father played by Rob Terrell. But, the movie is more than just that; the movie is about the effects of such relationships towards its victims.I've never heard of actress Tiffany Bowyer before but, her debut here in Playback in such a challenging and bold role provides both the delusion and the reality of its aftermath. Her character, Stephanie is aware of her situation and her fate thus taking control of her own life through strength and reverence. However, sad of its outcome for Stephanie, justice is finally served in a poignant and quiet rhythm.Plus, seeing James Duval in the buff doesn't hurt either.I highly recommend this movie!
