This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

Unshakable, witty and deeply felt, the film will be paying emotional dividends for a long, long time.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

There are a lot of things that are so wrong about this movie and almost every Pinoy horror film I've ever encountered. Bad makeup (wet oatmeal on the sides of the mouth, very cutting edge), bad effects, bad lighting (if not the type used in haunted house rides in rural fairs, then the type that looked like they're religious statues prepped for a procession), and incredibly bad acting (Kris Aquino, enough said). One thing stands out like a sore thumb though: the total lack of irony and the clueless pomposity and pretentiousness of the people who make them.I mean, if you're forced to die on pile of Red Horse beer, or by rat excrement, or by a vaguely menacing cloud of chickens, simply because your Chinese zodiac sign says so, you know you're in a movie that should have been tagged as comedy instead of horror.I think it all comes down to the cheap, profit-driven mess studios call "production". There are a handful of Filipino horror flicks out there that are actually really good (Sigaw comes to mind). And to think they dared to push for a Hollywood remake of this film. Someone even mentioned Brad Pitt(?!?!?!).Really. Comedy. If I could go any lower than 1 in the scale, I would have pushed it all the way down to -10.

Feng Shui, for me, is an original movie. When I first saw the trailer , I became curious already. I even scared my nephews and nieces just by maximizing the volume of the trailer( There was a part there where a child was saying MAY INUWI SI NANAY...SI NANAY...SA BAHAY....) I remembered that my older sister was begging me to watch it...They said it was Really Scary! But, it wasn't that much SCARY!For me, it was just a nice made horror movie influenced by beliefs and superstitions. The director was one of the best directors of horror movies in the Philippines.... Kris Aquino did well for me... But I think I did not like her scream that much... Thatz all!

This movie has a nice plot and the cast turn in nice performances. And I was glad that the central haunting figure wasn't some girl with long hair covering her face. The ending could've been a little better, though.Kris Aquino loses her trademark facial expressions and distracting shrill voice. A nice improvement, but she comes off a little wooden. More impressive are the supporting actors. Jay Manalo as Aquino's husband is his usual reliable self. Lotlot de Leon delivers a particularly notable turn as Aquino's ill-fated best friend. Ilonah Jean is subtle but effective as their card-reader friend and the child actors show depth at their young age.

This is one of the funniest movies for 2004. Watch how Kris Aquino acts, its really funny. I could not help but laugh out loud, she just can't act. Anything she does is really funny. The concept of the story is good but they should have used proved actors and actresses. Ms. Aquino should stick with comedy coz anything she does is comedic. If you want good horror movies stick with Japanese horror which will really frighten you out of your wits. I had great hopes with this movie after hearing several good comments about it but was utterly disappointed when I saw it. There was never a moment when it became scary and Ms. Aquino did not help one bit. The other stars were OK especially the husband of Dina who acted well even if it was a short appearance. He was able to deliver a strong performance in their confrontation so much better than Ms. Aquino. I really felt he was a frustrated husband who was left by his wife. Compared to him, Ms. Aquino looked weak in her performance. If you want a good horror movie stay away from this. If you want to watch a comedy I highly recommend it.My rating: For best horror -5 out of 5For best comedy 5 out of 5
