This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

The reason this movie plays like it was written by a moron is because it was written by a Brazilian Moron. Cheep Cheep cheep! I can only say if the writer was paid at all then I am in the wrong business. The quality of the film was cheep. The directing of the film was cheep. The location of the film was cheep. What passes for film today is a very sorry excuse for the evolution of film.I am so sorry for films like this because the next generation wont be challenged to do more to captivate us.A simple home recorder and some high school friends and you to could have and Oscar. The minimum is for me to write ten lines in the review. With that Im finding it very difficult to think of ten lines to review such rubbish.

Wow. Another clunker from Canadian "auteur" Andrew Van Slee. At least this one is somewhat watchable, unlike his earlier epic "Totally Blonde."The scariest thing about this entire movie is the teeth of the actors. Instead of rehearsing, the director must have thrown a teeth-whitening party. Almost every character has teeth that look like chiclets which had been soaking in bleach for a week. The plot line follows that of "Fiday the 13th" -- the only difference, and it's huge, is that instead of watching the kids die one by one in imaginative efx sequences, all of the violence takes place off-camera. A shadowy murderer appears, the victim reacts, and we see the bloody aftermath. The entire efx budget seems to have been spent on a bucket of fake blood and a number 4 paint brush. Most of the actors are good, but a few are grade A hambones. The characters are entirely generic. In fact, none of the human characters are as interesting as the farm tools used by the killer. And we don't get to see those farm tools act... just the aftermath. The dialog is atrocious. The opening character set-up is a long, labored discourse which makes it clear to anyone who didn't already know that teenage boys like sex. They also call each other "dude" a lot. It seems dated, but hey, maybe Canada's teens are on some kind of culture curve. Another ten years and they'll be getting into hiphop. There's a big surprise ending which I won't reveal. Anyone who makes it through this piece of dreck, even on fast-forward, deserves the miniscule thrill of the revelation. The ending sets up a sequel, apparently intending to rip off "Halloween" in the next installment, since they blatantly ripped off the theme music to set it up.If you're tempted by the premise, skip this turkey and rent the original "Friday the 13th" instead. Even if you've seen it fifty times it'll still be more exciting.

"Adam and Evil" is a pretty good new slasher movie.**SPOILERS**After graduating from High School, friends Adam, (Sean Arnfinson) Yvette, (Lynsey Brothers) Rob, (Terran Orletsky) Seth, (Kevin Robson) Matt, (Brody Harms) Yvonne, (Erica Cerra) Evelyn, (Barbara Kottmeier) and Rachel (Tiffany Patterson) decide to celebrate by going down to a campground for a weekend of sex and drinking. Adam, however, is having recurring nightmares about a fire from years ago that killed his parents. Once they discover there's dead members, they try to escape but are trapped at the campground. Figuring it's best to find a way out separately, they split up but all meet violent ends. Reconvening to figure out what went wrong, they try a last ditch plan escape the camp alive, and in the process discover a shocking realization about the nightmares that were plaguing Adam. The Good News: Whoa, what an ending. This is probably the films' greatest strength: it has one of those endings that completely throws you and yet is seen as completely natural as well. It threw me as well, completely unexpected and very original. A solid twist, as well as the motivation for the killer's spree. Many have said that it is a really stupid reason, but it makes perfect sense given all the reasoning given for it. It expands upon earlier information given and then tweaks it so the resolution is completely understandable and is yet unexpected. Out of the dozen or so deaths in the film, several are pretty original. We get an arrow throw two people's necks, a pair of hedge-clippers to slit their throat, and two spears from a spear gun into one's chest. Not really a lot of great deaths, but at least they tried to have some originality with some of them. At least they didn't do any of the traditional methods of dispatching people with those implements. It's nice that we didn't get the usual ways and they tried something to throw us off. Normally, we hear about a death involving a spear gun, more than likely, it would be shoved into the victim or shot through the head. Originality was a nice touch. I was also surprised at the suspense in the film. Since this takes place at night during a forest, we get many sequences where the characters are hiding as they hear footsteps running around, with twigs snapping and bushes rustling and all those spooky noises you hear in the woods. With no lights, we are left to rely on the person causing the ruckus to show themselves, and the suspense comes when we have to wait to see how long they choose to remain hidden in the forest. Of course, that also leads to some cheap false scares in these scenes, but some of them actually work. One involves them hearing noises in the darkness, and begin calling out for the killer to show themselves, and suddenly one of their party pops out on the opposite side where we expect them. A cheap scare that works. I'm still not sure where to put this, but since we get very little glimpses of the killer, it either adds to the enigma, or irritates me because we don't know what they look like. I'll put it here since it does seem to make the killer a litter scarier than normal. The Bad News: There is so little blood in this one, it's insane. All we get in the way of blood is a small flow from a neck slit and some red around body wounds. Very little blood at all in this one. Also, this one has a very clichéd story in it: teens arrive at a deserted camp, tell the story of a local killer in the area, and then get picked off one-by-one by a masked killer. It doesn't take a lot of effort to make a film with that kind of story to it, so this doesn't score a lot of points there. Also, there were tons of times I kept thinking, "These were supposed to be hot teens? Why do only the women look good?" It's true: the guys here look much worse than the women of the caliber in here would go after. Not very realistic. The Final Verdict: Despite this being a very bloodless film, this is still a pretty good slasher. It's got a lot more surprises than you may think, and it packs one wallop of an ending. Recommended to those that live off the Direct to Video market, or those that like their horror with cheese and no blood in it. Slasher fans may heed caution with it, it's a clichéd story that's been done better before and far gorier. Unless you're a completest, don't bother.Rated R: Graphic Language, Violence, Brief Nudity and a sex scene

The Title "Adam And Evil" Had An Affect On Me, I Was Hoping That This Might Be A Decent Film, But It Wasn't, This Movie Really Blew. The Reasons It Blew: 1. Dialogue, Although It Kinda Made The Movie Funny, Like The Last Commenter Posted "I'm Gonna Slice You Up Like A Turkey!", And When The Guy Is Kneeling Next To Shane's Best Friend Saying "Why Would You Kill Your Best Friend And Just Leave Him Here" And The Other Guy Says "What Man?", Its Just Horrible 2. The Title Has NOTHING To Do With The Film! Grrrrr 3. Not Enough Nudity, You Have All Those DAMN HOTT Girls, And You See Nothing From Any Of Them, Only Person You See Naked Is The Sheriff's Wife, Which Is Beyond Me How That Ugly Sheriff Could Get A Hott Wife Like Her 4. I'm Too Tired To Post Anymore, But Please Don't Spend Your Hard Earned Dollars On This Movie, Maybe Just Steal It Or Something If You Really Feel Compelled To Watch It
