In 1968, the fury and violence of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago propelled us toward a tipping point in politics. Martin Luther King Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy were assassinated, America suffered its bloodiest year in Vietnam and drugs seduced us. Yet idealism--and hope--flourished. Tom Brokaw is a American legend in broadcasting, and "1968 with Tom Brokaw" is some of his best work on television, I was glued to my television and learned so much from this, more then I have learned from any TV program. And from MLK and RFK, and the hippie movement, and what a man could actually become and do. You will hear from and about famous musicians and protesters like Arlo Guthrie and Abbie Hoffman It was a time of brilliance, pain & decadence. It's one of the most historical years in our history.so if you are wondering about these times, or just want to take a look back then take a trip back in time with Tom Brokaw.
