Charley & Mimmo (2004)
Accompanied by his extraordinary confidant Doudou, T'choupi discovers with wonder the small village of the seaside where he will live. The beautiful days of summer, the beach, freedom - Very quickly, the holidays are rich in encounters and adventures. He shares with Doudou all the events of his life, where joy and jealousy mingle; the family is growing, T'choupi now has a little sister, Fanny. But a mysterious shadow disturbs the happiness of the village children by stealing their favorite toys. Excellent but underrated film
Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
T'Choupi gets to a new neighborhood where he mets Pilou and Lalou, and also a mystery difficult to solve.There's no way out. You will be haunted with an attack of tenderness since the first frame. The cartoon is suitable for little children and the story is also for them. You, as a grounded person won't be very moved until you get to know Didou and Zarkan, the real heroes in the story. And, as a spoiler, Lalou dressed as a hen is worth watching. This is just for little children, it's an innocent movie, don't expect jokes for grounded people. But if you want to feel of 7 years old again, you'll like this one.And here's the real WARNING !!! Nobody can resist the ending song by T'Choupi: You all will stand up in the middle of the cinema and start to dance as the whole crew who did this movie.It's a blessing to feel as a little kid again !
