This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Did you love the suspense of the original movie "The Hitcher"? If so you may want to seek out "The Millionaire Tour". I say seek because it isn't a movie you've likely heard of. That's not bad in this case as it is quite decent and keeps you on edge much like The Hitcher did. I only mention The Hitcher because it was a modest movie with edginess that rose above it's humbleness, and so does "The Millionaire Tour".This movie starts out with a simple, quite possible, premise where a man and woman duo, working for a person deemed to be a prominent criminal called "The Roman", hijack a taxi and it's hand-picked occupant. The occupant is himself a con-man who has committed some big-time wrongs to people who don't go down without seeking revenge...or is he? As lower-rung criminals will do the kidnappers are a bit greedy: they employ a graft called "the millionaire tour" to extract as much from their target as possible before handing him over to the man. Things get complicated adding to the suspense mightily. What you have here is a well-crafted thriller. It seethes and builds on the humble plot it has employed. In other words, a spartan movie that rises above the low-budget with its fine screenplay and good characterizations by those involved. Speaking of the cast, you may have seen several of the main players as they're highly photogenic, but it is likely you will recognize only one by name, Dominic Monaghan. Dominic has had some high-profile roles, the best known has to be playing the character of Simon in Lost. He's a good character actor - in that realm it is knocking on being A-list status. He doesn't disappoint here. The supporting cast, while unknown in name, deliver their character's roles in excellent fashion too. When given the chance I'm always amazed at what relatively unknown creative people can achieve when presented a worthy palate. If you like slow building suspenseful movies then this one is a no-brainer as it better than many big budget fiascoes whose suspense is based on explosions and body counts.

Superbly crafted, edge-of-your seat thriller. The plot flows seamlessly and there's never a dull moment as the action keeps coming. Without giving too much away... the movie has a great twist that you don't even see coming. Writers Inon and Natalie Shampanier have created a film that keeps your attention all the way through and Dominic Moynaghan and Jordan Belfi portray their roles very convincingly. The only downside of the film was the way it was cut up into chapters on Vuguru.com so you will need to watch each 4-5 minute clip separately but I found myself wanting to watch the next clip immediately after one had finished. Mr. Shampanier has done a splendid job on his first full feature and I will be looking for more of his work in the future.

Like the other IMDb reviewers, I spotted this on a UK satellite channel and gave it a try. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend it (if you can see it). An excellent cast - only four main characters - but is a very tense thriller, fast paced, good direction and featuring a confidence trick plot. I'll not say any more as I certainly don't want to spoil it for anyone but it has some really good twists right to the end. One of those movies that you know is going to have a surprise at the end but when it came was not the one that I had guessed or was expecting. The only problem then is how and where to see it? I've already said it's available on UK satellite channels and I see that it is 'Internet release only'. I assume this is the US? If so, it's real shame that a well made movie like this with a good cast and excellent story is not more widely available. I'm no expert on the economics of the movie industry but this deserves to be seen and enjoyed by a wider audience.

Inon Shampanier's film about The Millionair Tour, a rip which targets a loaded tourist into visits to as many ATMs before cards max out, is not just clever, it is constructed is such a way as you will guess what is going on many times before you guess right. The screenplay is riveting, sharp, and superbly acted in the largely claustrophobic setting of a cab.At first I thought we may be in for a re-run of Collateral but this film betters that by giving us four people going on a ride in which the scenery is less important than the conversation. There is deep psychology at work here not just in the dialogue but in the body language, the slight inflexions, the looks, the underlying story which is revealed to us piece by piece, and it is all original and crafted to keep you on your toes. You cannot know the twists without knowing what the plan is and that is why this film delivers feigned punches as often as it delivers knock out blows.Gomez, Monaghan, Bruckner and Vescio perform superbly in their respective roles revealing flaws in character as easily as we want to spot them, and it is only by the very end of the film you will know who is fooling who. Go see it for it is one of the best movies I have seen in a long while.Highly recommended.
