The film is adapted from the true story of Zang Jianhe, the founder of Wan Chai Pier and known as the "Dumpling Queen". In the late 1970s, Zang Jian and her two young daughters from Qingdao, Shandong, defected to her husband but were forced to flee to Hong Kong. In order to survive, she had to sell dumplings at the Wan Chai Ferry Pier. How will she handle the numerous challenges of fate and step by step counterattack life

One of my all time favorites.
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
