It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

Based on the synopsis I would have watched it if I couldn't find anything else. However, a friend who also likes these types of motion pictures enjoyed it, so I watched. The acting was pretty decent. Some chewing up the set, but I went in knowing that was to be expected. I loved how the chronology was shot and that you don't really know the details of catalyst until the end. I couldn't predict it in its entirety until the final moments (and I'm pretty good at that).The gore, pain & mutilatuons were unrealistic but that didn't stop me from loving it! I'd for sure watch more from these folks!

The Scarehouse is a really fun horror film. It'll make you laugh, squirm, and everything in between. The direction is very well done, especially the choice of shots which really bring out the eeriness of The Scarehouse itself. The acting is also top notch, going above and beyond the standard "slasher flick" acting. Especially Sarah Booth and Kimberly Sue-Murray's performances. My favorite part of the film is the writing. The dialog is quick, witty and again, above and beyond standard "slasher flick" writing. Gavin Michael Booth is definitely one of the directors to watch out for. With films as gnarly as The Scarehouse, I could see a revival of Canuxploitation!

What is the equivalent of a wet dream for a murder? Well whatever it is im sure scare house is pretty damn close, OK picture you're a murderer and imagine being able to do everything you've ever wanted to do to a group of sorority sisters. Oh wait you don't have to anymore, just watch the scarehouse instead. This film was raw, sexy and disgusting all at once. Now typically a little doll running around with a knife doesn't scare me, nor am I too worried about the babadook getting me, but sorority sisters, now those betches can be scary. i always find that the more plausible the plot is for a horror film the scary it becomes.I appreciate the realist approach, and am proud of this Canadian content.

I go from watching 3 very good films... All About Eve, Sunset Bvd, and The Babadook... to the worst horror film perhaps I've ever seen... turned it off after maybe 15 minutes.Scarehouse (2014)The only people rating this a 9 or 10 are shills and idiots, no one who knows film rates this up there with the best movies of all time. All the stupid party/music video scenes are made to appeal to dumb teens, I know how it works... but it's bad movie making, any time you lower your film to the lowest common denominator you are no longer an artist, you are a tool. But this movie is so bad it's nearly unwatchable, it's formulaic crap... basic torture porn with female antagonists.AVOID THIS MOVIE1/10
