Radio talk show therapist Sonny Blake moves back to her childhood home on seemingly idyllic Rosewood Lane after her alcoholic father dies. But upon arrival in the old neighborhood, Sonny discovers her neighbors are terrified of the local paperboy. She thinks this is ridiculous, until she encounters the boy himself. It turns out that he is a cunning and dangerous sociopath, one who may have gruesomely killed her father - and others.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

Rosewood Lane is what would happen if you combined Frasier with Fear, and is the latest from Jeepers Creepers Director, Victor Salva. I wanted to like this film and I wish I could tell you that's different from all the other stalking films out there, but it's really not. The only things I found interesting about this film were the tremendous performance by Charmed's Rose McGowan, and it's unique ended, that really threw me for a loop. Normally when a film has an ending that surprises me, I love it, it makes the whole film for me, and while the curve at the end of Rosewood Lane was interesting, it wasn't enough to make up for a slow moving film that resembled half a dozen other movies. The story follows Radio Psychiatrist, Dr. Sonny Blake, and her move back into the old house she grew up in. The house holds many personal demons for her, so when she claims that someone is stalking her, the people close to her find it difficult to believe. As I said earlier, Rose McGowan was terrific and was really the only person of note in this film. It's a story you want to like, but things progress so slowly and are just so dull, that when the surprise ending happens, you're reaction is that it's kind of cool, but it doesn't make up for the predictability of the rest of this film. Stalker films are supposed to be the scariest form of Horror films, because it's a real thing that happens every day, unfortunately, Rosewood Lane doesn't have the writing or the performances to pull it off. It's a decent film with a terrific ending, but instead of leaving you unnerved, it leaves you indifferent.

Jesus Christ. this is true victor salva! if you liked jeepers creepers you will surely enjoy this, same elements and at one point even the same scene. the man can make a truly creepy movie without punching you in the face with the CGI, something rare these days. well shot, low budget gold! rose mcgowan incredible, just like in planet terror. awesome movie, its definitely worth a watch for the horror movie guys. i REALLY don't understand how this has such a low rating! try watching it. awesome movie, good acting. victor salva has done it again. i have to say it one more time: IF YOU LIKED JEEPERS CREEPERS AND JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 (and cant wait for the third part) YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS. GOOD MOVIE IN ALL THE WAYS! if you are not too critic with it it can take you inside the story and make you feel it. as his other movies it has some sequences that make your heart go like if you were living the scene. cant wait for the next salva work. "PERSIANS! COME AND GET THEM." Leonidas - 300.

Despite that it is clear Rose McGowan has had plastic surgery excessively lately (yes, I know, it has nothing really to do with the film), her character was interesting as was the story. A good suspense, mystery, psychological (arguably) thriller which drew me in and I wasn't expecting all that much. But pay attention. There is a lot going on in the film even though you may not realize it. I liked the plot/premise and at times you might question who/what is really the "bad guy", so to speak. I wouldn't classify it too much as a Horror (but then again, my Horror standards are extremely high) yet there are some creepy/weird moments. I was satisfied with the film but I do still have questions which is not to say the ending is good or bad...we can draw our own conclusions but some may see it as black and white and see the ending immediately. Give it a try, why not?

Reveiwing a movie is open to our own personal opinion and everyone is entitled to there own opinion. For me I read all reviews posted here and although I enjoyed this movie I do agreed with some of the negative reviews that states that it was slow moving and a bit lacking on thrills. That alone however doesn't mean it was a bad movie or as some state "aweful waste of time." Now to add to there points they start reviewing the size of an actors lips, or the age of another who supposed to be a kid or even criticize product placement in the first have. I think that when you have to find such small items to pick on then in fact the movie wasn't all that bad. Other negative reviews write sentences with single words longer than my complete name put together. But if you read exacting what they are writing and yes with the help of a dictionary you soon realize that some just use big words to give themselves a certain look because at the end of there conclusion all those big words just basically mean nothing, just like a politicians reply to a question he doesn't want to really answer honestly.I'm not saying this was a great movie but I am saying that I enjoyed it. I did not get that "hey I was robbed "feeling once it was over. Sure It had some unanswered issues but nothing major. They could have done certain things differently yes but they didn't. What I watched is what they did and I must be honest on what I saw. Good . Good movie. One thing though is that they call it a horror film and that is where maybe some of the bad reviews are coming from. Disappointed horror film fans. This is not a horror film but I would say more of a mild thriller. If I was in the mood for a good horror film and saw this I would have been disappointed too.
