Why so much hype?

Redundant and unnecessary.

It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional

Yeah, my cool defense is that I was 5 when this went down. So, Lucky Bear, he has an Irish Accent which, when you think about it and the fact that they all live and grew up and spent their entire lives in the same place, Care-a-Lot, just means that he has a speech impediment doesn't it?Moving on, this will give you near instant tooth decay. It is way too sweet and even writing that makes me feel guilty because I know I just made the caring meter go down.But it is brilliant, the concept is such that if you don't like you are instantly sort of a heartless git. A sociopath even.It holds your humanity hostage

Colorful albeit syrupy story of a collection of sweet-as-punch bears who visit Earth via their 'Rainbow Rescue Beam' (Earth apparently needs to be 'rescued' from something) in order to deliver their feelings of love and friendship on unsuspecting humans.Movie purports itself to be about sharing and caring but there are undertones of satanism and witchcraft as a book spirit tries to get earthling children to reject the advances of the loving bear race. The best thing about this film may be the vast array of colors in the animation; the 'love and sharing' aspects become somewhat weary after the first half-hour.A Nelvana production.

This has always been one of my favorite movies to watch. Looking at it objectively I suppose I could pick apart this movie until there was nothing left. But I'm not going to do that nor do I want to do. Yes it was a little cheesy at times but I liked all the songs and it of course had a good message. One thing I have noticed is that some people have to point out that this movie was made for commercial reasons. So what? Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter have been commercialized and no one seems to think it takes away from them. Commercializing a movie and making a profit is just part of the industry. This was a cute funny movie with a positive message, I liked it and so I give it 10 stars.

Yes, I know I am an adult, but this movie just brings back good memories. I used to watch the care bears every day, and even play care bears with my friends. These cuddly little bears help teach us the important lessons of life, like how to care, share and grow up to be wonderful members of society.The plot is that two children who are put up for adoption begin to doubt the world and humanity. The care bears sense their trouble and whisk them off to care-a-lot. Meanwhile, another little boy who works for the circus unleashes a nasty spirit that causes everyone on earth to quit caring. It is up to the care bears to teach the kids how to care, and teach the whole world how to care before time runs out. It's full of adventure and delightful characters. And meeting the care bear cousins in the forest of feelings was a great addition. Will the world ever care again? Watch and find out.
