I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

Absolutely the worst movie.

a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

I love this movie. Gaidai's last work isn't his best movie but it's very, very funny comedy. It shows excellent parody on last Soviet days' - crime and kind-less everywhere, politics eat all the tastiest when simple people must cheer them or emigrate to USA.There are many funny Gaidai's jokes - it's his style. Cast is very respectable too: Dmitri Kharatyan, Andrei Miagkov, Mikhail Kokshenov, Armen Dzhigarkhanyan, Emmanuil Vitorgan, Leonid Kuravlyov, Mintai Utepbergenov - and dead now Yuri Volyntsev, Mamuka Kikaleishvili, Nikolai Parfyonov, Spartak Mishulin and Ruslan Akhmetov. I think, Gaidai feel that this movie will be his last movie and because of this he get for his film almost all actors played in his movies.Yes, there were some very surreal, almost fantastic, scenes (for example - maniac-policeman or bed, flying with helicopter). But what do you need? It isn't a philosophic movie, it's A COMEDY. Take it easy and enjoy watching!

... I'm not surprised at all that Gaidai's last movie remains his least known one. And honestly, I think it's better this way - it's an extremely poor film, and a quite screeching one too. The absolutely ridiculous script is portrayed in such an atrociously rancid way that it would seem impossible that Gaidai would have made such a film if it wasn't for his characteristic aesthetic blunting pitifully devalued here and there. It feels so pathetically decadent that it's deeply depressing. The sole redeeming feature of 'Na Deribasovskoy...' is the delightful characterization of the gallery of Soviet leaders and their odd involvement in the script, which certainly is not enough for avoiding me to hope I can erase this movie from my mind soon as much as I wish I wouldn't have watched it. Horrible.
