a film so unique, intoxicating and bizarre that it not only demands another viewing, but is also forgivable as a satirical comedy where the jokes eventually take the back seat.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

Basic premise of this movie is one guy dating 3 women in different cities. To surprise her man, all three women (independently of each other) decide to visit him at his home in Los Angeles. (Sidenote: why would a guy give all 3 women his home address in LA????) When they run into each other, they decide to stick around until their man makes a decision on whom he chooses. Of course, there is a subplot about the stolen money, a couple of bad guys, and a persistent FBI agent. While this is a fun film to watch, it isn't anything ground breaking. I found the character playing Papi to be very stiff. I couldn't really feel any connection between him and all three women. Considering all actors are Latin, I would have like to see more dancing, music, and more of Papi character behaving more like a man. Most of the film he is just sleeping while his women are caught up in some kind of criminal scheme. The only reason this movie worked for me was that it was only 80 minutes and it moved fast.

I really wanted to see the movie because of Jaci Valesquez, who is a Christian musician. I thought it would be pretty good, but I was dead wrong. This is not a good movie at all, it was just dumb, unoriginal, and did not seem fitting whatsoever for a Christian musician to be playing in. Not that it is necessarily bad in content (well, it has a few moments), but it is not something to promote. The acting was fine, the entertainment was OK, but somewhat ruined because of the awful script and direction of the film. I cannot even recommend if to die hard Jaci fans either, it was a mistake of a film, and I never really rate movies harshly, but this one was just bad.I rate it 5/10 PG-Mild Sensuality and Language

this is the most pathetic movie i've ever seen. it don't come close to being funny. i can't understand y this movie was even made in the first place. it wasn't romantic or even slightly sexy, as i expected it to be. and there no story. really a waste of time. avoid at all cost.

I was attracted to this movie after seeing Sofia Vergara on one of the late night talk shows. Anyway, after watching her interview, "Chasing Papi" became a must see, but I didn't actually see it until this week when it hit Pay-per-View. I have to admit that the first time I watched it I was a bit dismayed that the plot seemed thin, but being that virtually every scene involved Sofia, I really didn't care. You can look at her a thousand times and each time you will will see something new that makes her appear even more beautiful. So naturally I watched the movie again, and this time I noticed that the movie flowed a bit better and that the plot wasn't as thin as I originally thought it was. Couple that with Sofia looking better than in the first viewing, and I can only surmise that this movie will get BETTER with each repeated viewing.I know what my schedule is like for the rest of the year!
