At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

It features one of the worst direction and storyline. The CGI is pathetic and cinematography below even a low budget movie. The premise might have been passable, but the movie fails before it even runs up to take off. Very poorly researched and logically implausible to be called a "biopic". If a submarine starts leaking and compressing before it reaches 300 metres, how can it even sustain a fall below that, let alone make somersaults in the water after being battered? If the motive of the film was to generate patriotism, I have no doubt in saying that this movie is an insult to the Indian Navy.

This is the only Indian movie that I never watch it until the movie end. I gave up and stopped watching it in the middle. The too fair skin Bengali Girl, Boring plot, and anticlimax in the middle of the movie made me back off to watch this movie to end.The movie only could increase the adrenaline in the beginning and failed to make it in the middle. The rating that I saw on IMDb made me decide to watch but that's below my expectation. 8 rating is too high, for this movie.

This film stirs up patriotic feelings but that does not change the truth about the quality of the film. This is a badly made and badly enacted film. None of the actors do a good job. Rana Daggubatti, least expected to stand out in a cast populated by Kay Kay Menon and Atul Kulkarni, surprisingly does. Taapsee Pannu's character is a waste of filmreel and her portrayal suggests she seemed to know it. The acting is lazy as is the writing and the production. Watch it for a dramatised version of historical events if you wish but do not be misled by IMDb rating given by overenthusiastic fans (or marketing bots).
