Little Giants (1994)

A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.

Mostly, "Little Giants" is the average movie in which against all odds a ragtag team takes on the big guys (others in this vein include "The Mighty Ducks" and "The Big Green"). But I thought that in the end, it did come out slightly more interesting than the average such flick (maybe because of what happens at the very end). Maybe Rick Moranis ("Ghostbusters") and Ed O'Neill ("Married...with Children") in the roles improve the quality.You can probably guess which scenes were my favorites when I was ten years old. Nowadays, I wouldn't go out of my way to watch this movie. One of the reasons that the Irish movie "The War of the Buttons" was so good is that the two sides were equally matched. Anyway, OK in a pinch.

I understand how much competition holds back the development of youths, I'm a teacher. But good intentions do not encourage learning and hope does not create understanding. Participation, motivation and being truthful with children does(and lots and lots of planning). The kids that watch this take the lesson that you can fall behind, not read, not participate and a miracle will happen. You will be able to pull reason, information and remember content from when you were drawing in class, on the day of the test from your heart, your courage and a magic hidden talent you possess deep inside you. What fools all the teachers who stay up until 1am(and up at 5am) planning for cooperative groups that encompasses multiple learning abilities in children to draw their interest in American literature and encourage them to work hard, have fun and be confident young people. You want a good sports movie moms - watch Little Big League, that's cute, and honest about the importance of fundamentals.

I never expected this movie to contain life-altering dialog or include Oscar-caliber performances, and I think that is why I love it so much. I don't have the hardest life on the planet, but I do work, and go to college full-time, and now I am also starting to apply to grad schools. So sometimes I just want to sit down and watch a film where I don't have to think. I can just sit back, relax, laugh at a few corny jokes, and root for the good girls and guys. So on days when I am tired of all the stress I love to pop in a movie like The Little Giants. It really has a cute plot. A dad wants the best for his daughter, his brother doesn't pick her for his football team even though she is really good, so he starts his own team with a mix of kids that normally wouldn't be picked for any sports team. Even though his team doesn't boast the brawn of his brothers, his little giants have big hearts and a lot of will. With a few little love stories in the mix, and of course an event that seems to spell doom for the little giants, this is a really fun, enjoyable film that is appropriate for the whole family. Yeah it may have its predictable moments, but that is just what I want when I settle in to watch a film in this genre.

this movie, despite the predictableness of it, is a wonderful movie for anyone, whether it be family or friends, Little Giants is a great showing of perseverance, and determination. give it a shot, who knows maybe after seeing this movie, rick moranis might not be a loser to you... highly doubtful on account that he plays a loser in the movie but still, focus on the kid actors in it and the message they try to get across. there are very many hilarious parts in this movie if you pay attention. the comedic timing proves to make this movie what it is. in short, Little Giants is a terrific movie that everyone should see, and enjoy.
