It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

This movie was fine, not amazing, but not a waste of time. I didn't really like the main character but that's just because of the many poor choices she made, plus I hate home wreckers and cheaters. But the storyline was great.Okay so remember when she wrote that letter to the guy who molested her when she was little? I feel like she put her number at the bottom of the letter, so for some reason he could contact her -as she was a pretty confusing and brave character. I wouldn't be surprised since she went back to the sex offender book store guy, watched him close the blinds and lock the door and still didn't feel uncomfortable or scared. Anyway so I think he may have called her, and offered her money or place to stay in order for her not to tell anyone about what he did? I don't know, just a guess :)

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Total loss of time! The film itself is bad enough, showing the "difficulties" experienced by an inconsequential and promiscuous teenager, raised by her mother and stepfather, apparently "good people", but who have no idea of the irresponsibility of the girl. The girl has the body and appearance of a child, but maintains a daring sexual behavior, which in my opinion is a kind of stimulus to pedophilia. And at the end of the movie, they spoil the plot once and for all, by adding scenes simulating "real facts," adding new characters, and a perspective that the girl would have invented most of the story and vanished after the supposed events. I felt like I lost 2 hours of my life with such nonsense. I'm just missing a little more writing this text to help someone who decides to research a little before watching.

It appears to be common practice for (producers/crews/writers/directors/actors) to promote their own films by posting gratifying reviews on places like this. The worse the film, the more likely that this unethical and deceptive practice will be used to promote the film in hopes of generating interest and revenue. One of the tell-tale indicators that this is happening, that's almost foolproof, is 8 to 10 star ratings from reviewers who have only posted a single review. When coupled with other, low ratings, by other reviewers; and you can virtually be certain that the glowing reviews are planted by the film's promoters, and should be totally ignored because they are false. Such is the case with this poorly executed, poorly acted, poorly scripted film. While not the worst of its class, it certainly doesn't merit more than 2 or 3 stars at best. I'm giving it 1-star to counter the undeserved glowing ratings from parties whose only motive must be to promote the film for personal benefit.

The movie educates the general populations on an important topic. The topic is one we as a nation have decided to avoid. There is perhaps 20% of our population which has been affected by molestation. The effect of a childhood molestation are understated.Though referred to on numerous occasions, the factor which shaped the main characters life was only the molestation. We must be more aware of it to help those who are suffering. There are faults with the production that additional more money spent would have corrected. A larger budget would have allowed for more extensive cutting and the foreshadowing referred to by another reviewer. More budget could have create an advertising budget to have prevented this film from going straight to video. But it is sad when good films get placed in the seldom seen category. From what I have seen in my life, the characters personalty is completely in line with the symptoms of the problem. Too many women say "I am not bothered", and then demonstrate the behavior depicted in the film.
