The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Dead In Tombstone is a great hybrid of horror, action and the western. Basically a fast paced, shoot em' up supernatural revenge western that is a cross between Angel Heart and High Plains Drifter. This is one of the better direct to video releases that came out more recently that I think deserved a wide theatrical release. Dead In Tombstone certainly is much better than the sequel to Machete, Machete Kills which came out at around the same time as this. Danny Trejo is great in this and so is Mickey Rourke as Satan. Also Anthony Michael Hall(the nerd in every John Hughes 80's teen movie) is actually very good as a villain in this. Which should surprise anyone who remembers him from 80'S classics like The Breakfast Club and Weird Science. While it is true Danny Trejo will act in anything and appears in tons of stuff, much of which is crap that even Danny Trejo's presence can not save. Dead In Tombstone is much better than some of these IMDb users suggest. I found this film to be a blast and is very original and bad ass horror western with a great cast and great action. This is a lot better than whole lot of stuff in my opinion.

Danny Trejo on a violent rampage for revenge after having been revived by Satan himself. That certainly sounded promising to me. Unfortunately the movie is somewhat underwhelming. It is not all bad but certainly not as good as I hoped. It is a rather uneven movie. Some parts are just great and some parts are fairly poor. It starts of quite well with Guerrero liberating one of his gang member just to eventually be betrayed by his own gang. Then it becomes quite uneven. Mickey Rourke as Satan did not do well for me. He mostly looked like an irritating fat slob. I would have expected something a bit more…satanic.I liked Danny Trejo though. Then I mostly do like Danny Trejo. Some people complain that he only has two facial expressions, grim and grimmer. Well, to me, that is how it is supposed to be. If it is not broken then do not fix it. Danny Trejo should do what he does best and that is to play a grim and dangerous son of a bitch.A lot of the movie was somewhat illogical and I do not mean the supernatural bits. The second half felt choppy and the behavior of people rather illogical even nonsensical. For instance, take the scene where the townsfolk march up against the Sheriff's office with Cavanaugh and Clark in it and not only do Clark not seem to realize the sh.. they are in but he starts to badmouth Cavanaugh & Co right in front of him. Yeah, right, the survival instincts versus stupidity ratio was rather unfavorable on that one.I did not regret buying the Blu-ray and watching this movie. It is decent enough entertainment although I was expecting a bit more. I also fail to understand why it got an R-rating. I've seen movies that were at least as violent which did not get it.

Dead on Arrival, this DTV Movie is just Awful. Once again They hire an Epileptic Cameraman that is in Denial. The Vision is that anything is not worthy of being On Screen unless it is a Shaky Whip-Pan and Quick Cut. This results in Motion Sickness. Please, Hollywood take notice. Stop this Immediately. It does not and never has been anything but annoying. But yet it is used again and again even in Mega-Budget Action Movies. Listen Up from Outside the Bubble. It is not energetic or adrenaline inducing, it is Nauseating. This Movie suffers from much more than that. Mickey Rourke's Dialog seems Dubbed by a Line Reader with absolutely no Ability to do anything except Read Lines. The Intriguing Premise is totally Mishandled in what could have been an Exciting Genre Bending Movie. It is a Colorless Palette with nothing but Blacks and Bluish High Contrast. The whole Thing looks like a Video Game that Flopped. There is nothing here to Recommend and Fans of the Cult Favorite, Danny Trejo will check in only to find that this is nothing more than a commendable effort lost in a Wilderness of Woefulness.

To find out if you would like "Dead in Tombstone", answer the following questions: (1) Do you like Danny Trejo? and (2) Are you a big fan of westerns? If you answered "yes" to both questions, you will probably find enough entertainment here. Besides the ever-commanding Trejo, the movie has some other positive attributes. The Romanian (!) locations give the move some serious grit, the movie moves along at a brisk clip, and there aren't any dull parts. Neverless, at the end I felt the movie could have been a lot better than it was. Some scenes look a little cheap, and Mickey Rourke is quite unsatisfying in his role. The biggest problems, however, were that the story and the characters, unlike the scenery, lack grit. The movie seems to be missing a really hard edge that would make it really memorable. This extends to how things are wrapped up at the end - the resolution lacks some serious punch. Don't get me wrong, I was reasonably entertained by the movie, but at the same time I saw it could have been a lot better.
