Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

Norm of the North is a really stupid movie about a polar bear Named Norm Played By Rob Schneider who wants to save the arctic from an evil businessman who wants to put condos in the arctic which is stupid. Norm Has these lemmings who pee in a fish tank and in a plant. This Movie is stupid & pandering it's not as bad as The Emoji Movie but it's still really stupid & Forgettable & the Animation is really bad & some of the joke are really dumb for a Family Movie. 1/10

I don't really think this movie has a story to tell as much as it has a message to tell. An environmental message. An intolerably hammered down environmental message. The whole purpose of Norm is to explain to the audience that they have to save the Arctic with some anti-industrialism thrown in that we don't go taking these animals homes in order to make some for us. Why would someone want a house in the arctic? I have no freaking clue and the movie doesn't even bother to answer. it results in the film becoming so preachy that it treats the audience like they're nothing but a bunch of total idiots, thinking that they always need a reminder every ten minutes of Norm's goal. Or maybe that's just the characters explaining it to themselves because they're so stupid it's highly possible they end up forgetting it? That actually makes sense. But in order to keep this movie going, it fills itself up with three things that make the film even more insufferable. First is an enormous pile of plot cliches that make the entire movie predictable from start to finish. Second is action scenes that go nowhere and are pointless. And three is a ton of bottom-of-the-barrel gags that would be too low brow for an Adam Sandler movie. Oh trust me, i'm not just talking about your average gas humor. You have NO IDEA how low this movie can sink just to get a cheap dumb laugh. And let's not forget Norm going around, twerking his butt, doing the Arctic Shake, yeah that'll totally make you be like the cool kids! Oh Norm, your nonstop use of dumb pop songs, cellphone gags, and random movie references completely blind me with all your tremendous swag! Seriously, did any of the writers, or even the director at least CARE?! I've never seen anyone leave a story so broken by it's obnoxious message and unpleasant humor. But hey, I guess none of this matters as long as the Arctic's okay, right?!It's the animation of this that makes everyone look at this and think how it's even POSSIBLE for a movie like this to get into theaters. This is the kind of animation to be expected in one of those cheap $1 direct-to-DVD films, not in an animated feature that was able to be released in theaters! Not only is this unpleasant to look at as much as sitting through their failed attempts to make something that they refer to as "humor", but this is just UGLY. And this couldn't be more obvious than in the character designs. Was it too expensive for them to hire a professional artist to draw good looking characters? Every human character looks like a bad caricature, and the animals look even worse. Where the humans feel like they were done by an amateur with no artistic background, the animals look like they were done by a freaking TODDLER! And with the addition of bad looking textures, it makes it look UNWATCHABLE. There are no redeeming qualities in the visuals whatsoever. The backgrounds look so generic, with either the plain white arctic or the generic city that's supposed to be New York City. Even with the character animation, I could see that there's a bit of talent there, but the rendering came out so bad that all their movements came out so unnatural. It makes it even worse when some characters want so move in such a cartoony over-the-top matter, that now it makes it UNBEARABLE to watch! Now the word "Disgrace" has been thrown on a few movies for their repulsive visuals, but the animation here seriously takes it to a whole new level. Now that we've got the obnoxious and unwatchable parts out of the way, let's bring in the characters to present another aspect of this movie. It's stupid. In fact, every character in here has very little intelligence, or even CHARACTER in general. Every single one is a bland one dimensional trope that would only stick out by the dumb decisions they would make. Starting with Norm himself, he's the protagonist that wants to save the Arctic and has other traits that the movie forgot to explain or completely have no point. Why is he able to talk with humans? Why is it important to know about his love interest or that he's next in line to become the king of the Arctic? Who knows, because the movie clearly doesn't! they're too busy showing off those terrible excuses for comic relief that they call "The Lemmings", who are obviously minion from Despicable Me (2010) ripoffs. All they do is try to be minions, but they aren't the minions because they have no sense of quality in their humor! And then there's Mr. Green, the villain that wants to be so over the top with his movements and have no logical motive to make houses in the Arctic then to be an actual character. Oh hey Chester V from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (2013), never thought I'd see you again! As for everyone else, they just have no purpose in this movie. Like absolutely none at all. They could all just vanish into thin air and no one would ever notice and the movie would stay the same, or even better yet, BE SHORTER. There's even no point to NAME them, the rest of the generic cast is just here to make bad jokes or to remind Norm to save the Arctic. But believe it or not, do you believe who's the most hateable and dumbest character in this? ALL THE EXTRAS AROUND NORM! Somehow New York City is filled with the most brain dead people, who see Norm as a guy in a bear suit or an actual talking bear and they're cool with it. It's even worse when they'll believe in anything that's said to them and are so easily amused by this big dumb dancing bear. Making your characters completely bland and serve no purpose is one thing, but the addition to throw away any sign of intelligence in them makes them look even worse than they already are.Norm of the North is without a doubt, one of the absolute worst animated features ever be released in theaters. The writing is abysmal, the environmental message is obnoxious, the story is unpleasantly predictable, the animation is disgusting, the humor is at it's worst, and the characters either have no brain or no purpose! I know for a FACT that I don't even have to TELL you to not watch it, because anybody that has some form of intelligence wouldn't even tolerate just TEN MINUTES of this embarrassment! And if there's any moronic lunatic that would even ATTEMPT to defend this with the "It's just for kids" excuse, may I ask, who the fridge are you talking about? Kids of IQ FIVE AND UNDER?! Any child would look at this and say that this is stupid. Why anyone would think it's a good idea to put this in theaters will always be a mystery! But the one thing we all know is that Norm will forever find a place as one of the worst animated films of all time.So to recap, who the fridge would be so stupid to think that this is good enough to be released in theaters?! This movie set a brand new standard to how bad an animated film can possibly be. Thanks to the movies horrendous writing, it provides it's audience with a story with no creative effort put into it, a frequently obnoxious environmental message about "Not building condos in the Arctic.", bottom of the barrel humor that can make a recent happy Madison film look like a Mel Brooks classic, and characters that can amaze people by how idiotic they can be. Not to mention how it's all perfectly packaged in animation so bad, that it can safely be considered unwatchable. Nowadays, when people talk about the movie, it would often be mentioned among one of the worst animated films. Not just of the year, or the decade, but one of the absolute worst of ALL TIME. And you know what's even worse about all this? Not only do the people who made this think that it's theater worthy, they also think, that it's FRANCHISE WORTHY! With SEQUELS! Thank god they were direct to DVD and never touched the big screen, but why must more of THIS need to exist? No matter how bad you place it, as one of the worst you've seen, or one of the worst ever, Norm of the North is undeniably the worst animated film of 2016.

Surely my review would annoy those who liked it. But the majority of who saw it was felt just like me. It has been 20 years since the first 3D animated feature film came. Not all the films released in this period were great. Some were technically sounded good and some were stories. If you had seen 'Hoodwinked!', you would know how awesome that story was, despite the poor animation production. But this film failed in all the department.I recently finished watching the first season of 'Trollhunters' and 'Miraculous Ladybug'. Even the television made products were much better than this film. Small budget, small production house et cetera is not an excuse. Thankfully, this is not the only bad animated feature I've seen so far in my life, but sadly it joins the list of those titles.Maybe! The little kids could enjoy it, who does not know to differentiate between good and bad. But for the adults, this is definitely skippable film. The best thing about this film was the message it carried, though, even for an animated film and a fantasy film, not convincing enough. It was kind of very similar to 'Delhi Safari'. In some perspective, I thought it was a remake of that. There are lots of other films similar to this like 'Chole & Theo', 'Happy Feet' and so on that you can try them instead.2/10

Very entertaining. Contains huge plot holes, lots of unfunny humor, useless characters, ... everything about it is wrong, except maybe for one joke. So while the movie is very badly made, at least it's not boring, so you get some entertainment out of it. Give it as a prank gift maybe, but if your children are over ten years old and you expect them to take it seriously it might not work out so well.
