The modern world holds many secrets, but by far the most astounding is that witches still live among us; vicious supernatural creatures intent on unleashing the Black Death upon the world and putting an end to the human race once and for all. Armies of witch hunters have battled this unnatural enemy for centuries, including Kaulder, a valiant warrior who many years ago slayed the all-powerful Witch Queen, decimating her followers in the process. In the moments right before her death, the Queen cursed Kaulder with immortality, forever separating him from his beloved wife and daughter. Today, Kaulder is the last living hunter who has spent his immortal life tracking down rogue witches, all the while yearning for his long-lost family.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

The movie is highly underrated by critics as well as IMDb audience. It has got all elements, twist and turns required for a movie to be successful.Tone, Script & Story: The story is how a man played by Vin is cursed with immortality by witch queen before her death. It's further how she is bought back from dead and her fate at last.Direction, Screenplay, Cinematography: The term I would use hear is 'very good'. The fantasy element is handled really well. The witches, makeup of artists, their stuff, atmosphere in presence of elements through sorcery is carried out, working of other magical elements all are simply fantastic.Acting: Everybody acted so well. Although I got a hint of villain before it was is disclosed.Final Verdict: The movie is highly underrated. It is better than your average entertainer. It's worth adding to your collection.

"The Last Witch Hunter", third feature after "Sahara" (2005) and "The Crazies" (2010) directed by Breck Eisner is not as awful as the motion picture industry's reviews, if the spectator is willing to let loose on having everything neatly explained, logical and analyzed to the core; it is possible to have an entertaining ride of 100 Minutes with this movie of fall season 2015, starring Vin Diesel and Michael Caine, as his mythology-preaching guardian, an at times viciously playing Elijah Wood, pointing guns and actress Rose Leslie, as the one good witch to make the main character believing in his purpose of an unless R-rated hardcore screaming movie, which might have had attract an higher frequency of movie-goers to make the story continue to a fulfilling conclusion that was not.© 2017 Felix Alexander Dausend (Cinemajesty Entertainments LLC)

From terrible editing to pacing of the script and scenes, this movie just feels so weird.I liked the CGI. The visuals obviously had a lot of effort put into them and Vin Diesel works fine in his role without overdoing it, but the movie never really delivers on what you're expecting from it (you know, a lot of witch-hunting).The whole world is populated with witches but our hero apparently takes humane approach and only kills those that "break the law" or some rule which you as a viewer don't give a sh*t about. While we're at it, using Vin Diesel as a action hero is fine, but making him deliver lines next to actors who actually act is painful to see (that butler from Batman especially). Also, Elijah Wood's character is just underdeveloped and the movie forgets about it until the "twist" (which won't be a shock to anyone). Personally I think they should've casted someone with more sinister face in his place. Then there are random cuts, which happen because they either re-shot those scenes without caring much for continuity or cause the editor was just high on cocaine. Either way, they are jarring. What is even more jarring is the speed with which the whole plot flows jumping from scene to scene without developing anything lore-wise or character-wise.Movie is so-so. Watchable if you have nothing else to see since CGI and action scenes are well done (though action isn't really that amazing).

The last witch hunter is all that stands between humanity and the combined forces of the most horrifying witches in history. So i finally watched The Last Witch Hunter and this movie surprised the hell out of me it was serious, dark and funny when it was needed to and with some great performances by Vin Diesel, Elijah Wood, Rose Leslie and Michael Caine who is great as always also Julie Engelbrecht plays The Witch Queen and she is creepy as hell and the make up on her is outstanding, the special effects were very convincing and overall pretty good for the most part as for the story and the dialogue i found it really great. This is not your typical witch hunter and not your typical Fantasy Adventure it's darker in tone and it's a mix of Blade meets End of Days meets John Constantine. There was supposed to be a sequel coming out and i don't know if they will go on with it but there's still some story here and there to tell and Diesel fits the part very well so my opinion is for him to stop the Fast and the Furious Franchise and also for the love of god no more XXX films their getting old and pretty cheesy. Overall The Last Witch Hunter (2015) is not something that you haven't seen before but fans of this kind of genre including myself will not be disappointed (A+)
