Riding high on the success of their third album Plastic Beach, the collaborative effort led by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett wowed the large crowd at this year's Coachella Music Festival in California, literally bringing the cartoon band to life.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
