A tight psychological thriller, Nothing Without You will keep you guessing until the final frame. The film centers on the world of Jennifer Stidger, a woman obsessed with powerful men whose grasp on reality is suspect at best. When a local politician is killed in his home, all the evidence points to Jennifer being the killer. But is she? Everything is not as it appears.As Jennifer embarks on a quest to clear her name and find the true killer with the aid of her therapist, Nothing Without You really hits its stride. The film is shot in a raw, gritty, hand-held style that fits the story and Jennifer's emotional state. And the editing is top-notch, paced perfectly, the tension building and building towards the film's climactic scenes.Police from the true-crime TV series The First 48 served as extras and even some cast members in this film, and that contributes to the raw, verite, true-to-life feel.If you like your Hitchcock, your Memento and psychological thrillers in general, check this flick out!
