Boarding for 17 Days (2020)
Cheng Yu, the lonely sojourner in the bustling city, goes in and out of a different empty house every day, prying into the city's secrets. He doesn't know why he's here, nor does he know where he'll go tomorrow. By chance, he saw the eighteenth-string actress Hu Mengya in an online drama, but never imagined that in the next seventeen days he would experience the three most important points in his life.

A waste of 90 minutes of my life
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.
It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.
