It's complicated... I really like the directing, acting and writing but, there are issues with the way it's shot that I just can't deny. As much as I love the storytelling and the fantastic performance but, there are also certain scenes that didn't need to exist.
This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.
The acting in this movie is really good.
I had high hopes for this sleepy little indie when a friend of mine loant it to me after I saw it sitting on his coffee table, and boy was I let down.Namely, because A- Everyt time some thing interesting happens they cut to black or it happens just out of the cameras range like what the heck! I wish the filmmakers had considering of the audience when they make this movie snoozfest that oh what could have been something worth watching if only they do the follow through where they show what happened. In fairness to those involved i did turn it off before it was over but only because I was so getting mad at how they cut every time there is a fighting scenese or guns or action at all. Also was it laughable the amount of drugs they show like come on this is scarface or what are you trying to do some gambler iwth the plastic genital goes and gets all this cocaine like tony montana or something.save this one for a day where you have already scene everything else ever made.
