It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

On the surface of it, almost a family's home movie about a canoe trip along the Lake Superior shore, but so much more. It is photographically beautiful and the feelings among the Mason family really come through on the screen.I saw this one for the first time a few years after Waterwalker. The tone is less serious, but the message is much the same: that being a reverence for nature , however in this case how important it is to convey it to our children.Excellent family viewing: not as syrupy or artificial as many "family friendly" shows, yet excellent viewing for people in any age range,
