Good story, Not enough for a whole film
For all the hype it got I was expecting a lot more!
Excellent but underrated film
Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.
Really enjoyed this movie. Bridget Regan as Emory was also the star of Magic Stocking (2015) in which she had black hair. Her hair is still brunette here but not as dark. Travis Van Winkle as Scott is very good and he brings a unique character which added to the movie. Loved these two- Emory never felt like this before and Scott knew it felt right. Scott has a daughter who truly makes the movie exciting. He has a mother played by Teryl Rothery who I loved from Cedar Cove (her presence added something special) as well as a wanna be girlfriend Sarah Smyth who also played in Cedar Cove. Emory's cell conversations with her editor was really a good way to bring out her character. This really was a well cast and a well executed movie. They made Christmas magic.Loved the scene near the end when the daughter gives them her Christmas present video of them being together to the tune of "Christmas- Baby Won't you Please Come Home." The fulfilling of the daughters Christmas bucket list made all the Christmas routine fun, especially with her excitement. I thought Emory was not attractive in the two scenes where she has the abundant red lipstick (just didn't look good on her).
I loved this movie. I have it on DVR and watch it everyday. The chemistry between the two actors is great. You would think they were involved in real life. And the gestures they make with their eyes, so believable. I hope Hallmark can put these two actors together in another movie. There is natural chemistry between them.
A nearly perfect Christmas Movie. Wow. Where has Bridget Regan been all my life. I think this year she takes the crown away from Alicia Witt. What a beauty. I wish she would have worn something a little sexier in the movie. But we got nothing in that regard. Nothing. Grandma is also bringing it in this movie. The guy needs a shave. I wish the rivalry for the man would have gotten a little nastier. I believe that may be a 64 Chevelle. Yeah, right.
I have watched all the Hallmark movies this season and, for me, this is just about the best of all of them. Everything just clicked and felt so right and natural. And the leads had great chemistry just as Emory was looking for.
