if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

They're not zombies and there's no Satan or spoiler. The worst part is that this movie is just too long. Nothing that happens in the first half hour matters. I've seen worse and you can't give less than 1 star so this has to get 2. I would love to see the further adventures of Mother, that would be interesting.

Unfortunately with a couple of actor changes (Vic Reeves and Ant spring to mind) this sorry excuse could easily be marketed as the next big British comedy. Luckily the roles which were obviously scripted for known names were turned down and the film sunk into it's own unique level of comedy horror. It's a mile away from funny - but unfortunately really close to what the UK channels show as "experimental comedy" - I honestly can't believe this wasn't funded by channel4 or the lottery. That said I'd watch another horror comedy directed/written by the same guys - this is really close to watch-able in places (but please for the love of god don't pay to see this in any way).

This is quite possibly the worse film I have ever had the misfortune to see - and I've seen Hope Floats with Sandra Bullock. The acting is truly terrible, the script is weak, the direction amateurish and the "comedy" just plain bad. In all respects, it is a typical weak "British Zombie Comedy Horror" that has no saving grace. To make matters worse, it is chock full of pointless nudity, which was probably only inserted because it was the only way they could get that much needed 18 certificate. Whoever financed this movie should not only ask for their money back but also fine all those involved. They say a little talent can go a long way but the makers of this film have tried to stretch no talent even further.Avoid at all costs.

A synopsis is fairly pointless - suffice it to say that if you have clocked the title, you should have a reasonable idea of what this (very) low budget British horror film is going to offer you.I suggest you don't take the offer. I did, and I regret it. The plot is perfunctory. The acting seems to consist of shouting. Most of the characters are badly conceived and executed even worse. The nudity is very unappealing. The sex is even worse. The humour which is intended to be present isn't. The special effects are non-existent. The gore is liberal and, if that - and that alone - is your thing, the film may have something to offer you.The script is peppered with the F word. Yes I know it is an 18 certificate, and I have no objection to the word itself, but I once more make a point I have made numerous times before - make the language in a script/book/whatever serve you. Making every other word an obscenity, for no purpose, makes your script worse, not better. This is a cheap, bad film. Not the first, not the last. But it is one of the sad ones because, every now and then, you get the whiff of the shadow of the ghost of the rather better film this might have been. Not to the extent that I recommend seeing it, though.
